Technically no one has a CT order, they have a pre-order reservation, in order to make this an order We should know the Specs and pricing well before any delivery event . People need to know what they are buying and how much it is well in advance of any delivery.
We are likely to have an...

Folding ANY Midgate
For a midgate to be able to fold it would cause too many possible issues (safety and operational) with the retracting cover . I hope the rear window will at least go down like the tundra, I would like to be able to cool the rear bed in some situations.
Driver...
For me Full size is a Tundra Crewcab, where the rear seats have more room then the front. But the tradeoff is a 5.5' bed
Without ever seeing the CT in person I really don't know how to estimate the size, it is deceptive to look atsince that reduced slope of the rear roof makes it look more car...
The origional concept had them cutting into the stainless ( same as the door handles) there is less possibility of fitment issues if they don't have to cut into the stainless . Depending upon how well sealed this is tesla may need to make some changes after a few people take this mudding or...
LOL.. I get a flat just looking at a work site I had like 5 plugs in my right rear and 3 in my left rear ( I don't use the spare unless I have a blowout or a large hole but if you depend on your truck for work you don't have a couple hours to wait for a tow and if your already towing...
The only problem I have seen so far is that there is no obvious room for a full size spare (throwing one in the bed does not count) . So unless the CT comes with those Airless tires we have been seeing ( which would be the only reason not to carry a spare in a work truck) or they have room in...
I like the work truck better, don't care about useless frills of the RST and I would never want 24" tires on an EV truck. That Midgate on the RST is the only worthwhile feature but not worj $100k
The $79k Price keeps it under 80K so you get the rebate so its $71.5K for a 450 mile ev...
They do, just make sure you shop around first , their prices are not always the best. The price they give you can also change so if you are waiting several weeks for a delivery the trade in value can change before you get the chance to trade it in
Its not range anxiety , its just wanting my EV to have the same range as the crappiest range Ice vehicle without negatively impacting the life of the battery.
If you were woken up by a call in the middle of the night and had to get somewhere ASAP that 300 mile range drops instantly to 240 since...
I can see Tesla having one price for anyone who reserved while the estimated prices were still listed on their reservation page (not the actual estimated price) and a different price for those who reserved after it was taken down. But I think we will see one uniform price.
By proven I mean a battery which will allow me to charge from 0 to 100% with no ill effects and with minimum battery loss over 10 years .
I am less concerned with cost of the battery as I am with the range and charging speed of the battery. I want to be able to drive at least 300 miles...
80% is 400 miles but if you are not letting it drop under 20% that is another 100 miles lost so you have a range of 300 miles if you keep it between 80 & 20
It kind of is locked for the next 4-5 years which is kind of forever for a car model. Tesla has over 1.5M reservations so as soon as Tesla announces the price those reservation holders will be either cancelling or locking in that price so it can possibly take 4+ years before some people (who...
The only reason I am getting a tri/Quad motor CT is because of the 500 mile range which in reality will only give me about 300 miles ( if I want to stick to the 80/20 battery charge)
SS batteries (like LFP) should allow a 300 mile range vehicle to actually get 300 mile range while still...
When I installed my Tesla charger outside I always worried that it was a waste and that my next vehicle would need an adapter . My only regret now was not buying a second wall charger when the prices were lower seeing that anything I choose to buy is going to use the same standard now...
I belive we are saying the same thing . I just looked at it from the point of total tax liability ( Paid + owed) . The total tax lability must be >= $7500 in order to apply that full credit . If that Liability was only $3K you can only apply a 3K of the tax credit to the total liability , the...
Its a tax credit. You will only get back up to $7500 off of taxes you had already paid in that tax year. If you only have $3000 paid in you will only get $3000 in credit and the $4500 is lost ( it can not be carried foreward)
I was not an EV fan until a year after the CT debued so My place in line is a couple years out and thats fine with me . There are also bunch of unknowns with the quantity and density of the 4680. any issues which need to be addressed after delivery and maybe they will rid themselves of that BAW...
Do I belive it likely , no but its possible depending upon the manufacturer.
The Stainless will either come in sheets or rolls like this below and that coating is always a part of it to protect the finished side while bending or cutting . I have only ever seen it as shown here but I am sure...
Stainless often comes manufacturered with a wrap attached on its finished side to protect the finsih. This is usually a white with some lettering on it but It is possible that this is the wrap it is manufacturered with which is meant to be pealed off and was just left on.
