If you ever end up doing this, let me know how it goes. I haven't ordered any extra clips in case I break any lol, but would be interesting if it pops out easy.
yeah, I did the YouTube fix mentioned and since doing months ago, and lots of pouring rain, mine remains almost bone dry after driving thru rain, etc.
I also added a gap shield to the tailgate gap to prevent dirt road dust and it works awesome.
Yesterdays pic after pouring rain.
On the defrost panel, there are tons of clips, and while driving, I can place my hand over this area I circled in red and it'll stop rattling. I suspect a loose clip. I'm also tempted to pop up some of the front clips and put some more sound dampening material in there. Not sure if I want to...
Dang, that is frustrating. Sure hope mine doesn't come back. My 2021 Model 3 was soooo reliable, I want to trust this truck cuz I love it. Will be curious what yours comes back with on 2nd fix.
Got a response from service. "While diagnosis is ongoing, the technician has documented some thermal damage to HV components called the Device Cluster and a wiring harness assembly. I will be sure to relay any updates as soon as they're available, but we appear to be on track to complete...
And service was open at 8am today, just took a shot, they were nice and got me right in even tho appt was for July 10. Just said if they could quickly reproduce right then on site, they'd get me in today. They did for both. Referenced this threads notes/errors/replacement notes, thanks all.
I’m now getting same errors. Guess I’ll schedule service. Thought it was my wall charger but when I also tried mobile connector and rebooting truck a couple times, just never resolved.
I "may" have isolated one of my last rattle locations. Still one to go after, but this for sure is the area as I can press down or lift up with my finger and it stops. Right where the long red straight line is, arrows pointing towards, that part lifts up, can get a finger under it, or press...
It does, depending on how grippy the items i'm sliding, but the flaps are slick rubber so a lot just slides right over. I don't have a lot of things to slide over it so will observe over time.
I just got around to installing a gap shield today. Worked out really nice, well, haven't been road tested yet, but install is super easy and I cut the strips where storage handle and openings would be, see pics. Adhesive is only on the bed side, not tailgate. Got it from here...
That's fantastic. Were your rattles really noticeable? Mine are tolerable, only very faint, so I'm probably going to wait it out for a while until it needs something else maybe and then mention these.
I have small rattles in that area but when it's rattling, i can put my fingers in the air vent fins and it sort of stops, so I think mine could be airwave module? or fins, not sure.
And Tesla replied to chat, and they said they did, in fact, check both rear and front and only front didn't pass spec which led them to only replace front.
