Finally did my water intrusion test today. (I still have the gap) Sprayed all over, hard and soft, directly into gap, rolled tons of water over it and barely got a drop in the bed. My fix was the rubber gasket seal referenced earlier on the YouTube guy did. I did it myself and works well. As...
And then tonight, took a drive to potentially record some sounds, and it's one of those times where it's basically quiet and very much where I think the "sounds" should be. Go figure. 50 degree night here in central Texas, no rhyme or reason. Service would think I was super-ocd (which I am)...
Yep, I have very similar sounds. I had a fluttering earlier on and Tesla replaced the front drive unit end of December. But since having it back, the fluttering is mostly gone but now I am hearing the sound you're hearing. I can actually hear it more as speed goes up. I need to go and record...
Definitely disappointing, given that I bet Tesla is aware of this by now. But just have a second phone person, wife, son or good friend you add as managed driver. Then they can always unlock and start it remotely.
I have on my ticket as well and also don't think mine leaks (Late October build) but I've read through the manual on what they'll need to do to remove...I just don't feel confident they won't break something else with all they have to do on uninstall...look at these steps, dang...
I should just test a deluge of water to see how dry mine is after I've fixed the seal. I read through tonneau instructions to remove/install and oh boy, so much they need to do. Always worry they'll break something else while fixing this. LOL
Yep. I would think big enough. Mine is the same. I honestly don’t think water gets in my bed, I fixed the rubber seal and seems better but I’d like to do for aesthetics.
Was there a service bulletin on this? I tried looking in the service bulletin manual, couldn't find one.

yeah, trying to not let my ocd get to me. It "mostly" doesn't bother me lol. Doubt I'll have them adjust it as I always feel once they mess with it, something else goes out of whack.
I had, on a previous appointment, had them fix the driver gap on the top left, which they fixed, but I never noticed it tightened up the bottom left corner of the driver door. Doesn't hit/touch but sorta bothers me they didn't align them all. Would this gap bother you? I have it in a future...
For #1, mine made a clicking sound when turning steering wheel just a little in either direction. Thought it was catching on steering wheel shroud but once it was in service for other things, they replaced the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) and now quiet.
Hmm, maybe I’ll keep my Feb 25 appt, which was for an alert I got, hvbatt_a294 and physical key cards don’t work. No one’s physical keys seem to work, but I’ve always used phone for four years of Model 3 ownership. Was gonna skip the appt as those don’t seem major apparently but a vibration, if...
