The image is not a mirror image nor upside down (thanks to the pentaprism configuration). Except for the lower height of the camera, it is the same as you get without the device installed. Good thought though - it would cause accidents if it was a mirror image!
I actually have it...
Yeah. Mine lives in the smugglers bay along with a lot of other loose tools, etc. I wanted to protect the plastic mirrors (and help prevent dust accumulation).
I bought a mini/donut tire for my wife's MS, but so far have not had to use it. In fact she took it out at some point to make room for something and it now sits in the garage. Every flat has been a nail or screw and it is easier to just plug it than replace the tire. I agree that this is not...
Yeah - that is something I welded together recently. Got tired of having to pull the tire out of the bed every time I needed to carry something large. Some more details here:

You will probably need to engage the latches on both sides of the tailgate. I use them to secure bungees which has the side effect of making the truck think the tailgate is closed. Also, you will get a warning message about the camera being occluded, but I saw no degradation in FSD performance.
Thanks for asking. I have no plans to sell so feel free to produce and sell (but do note the Copyright terms require Attribution and link to the original free model download).
I printed in PCTG which, IMO, is a a great choice.
I had published a previous version of this. I recently dropped it on the floor and it broke so I took the opportunity to improve the design a bit. Now it is more streamlined, provides more visibility and is tougher (can withstand a drop). I originally called this a goofy project but honestly...
FYI, it doesn't have to be expensive or heavy. I bought a couple of the solar trailers that went to auction. Immediately recycled the Lead-Acid and replaced with same capacity LiFePO4. This was my <$300 TMS. Cheap but works great:
I was actually asking about "TMS" (Thermal Management System), not "BMS" which is, necessarily, built in to essentially every LFP on the market. Even if the battery is rated to operate at 140F, it will incur significantly faster degradation at higher temperature (per Arrhenius Law) - this is...
Loving it! Seems like a lot of thought went into it. @evotrex: Question about the battery. Does it have a TMS? It will spend most of its life outdoors, and in AZ, that means up to 120F. I am hoping that it takes care of the battery to ensure long life.
I applied the base (single coat) it to mine (raw SS). Only did the panels and one kit was sufficient. I could perceive no difference in the appearance and it does clean more easily. Most notably are fingerprints - can wipe them off with my sleeve now. Before the coat I had to get out Windex...
