There are 4 tie-downs on the floor in the cargo bed. If you haven't "exercised" them in the past couple of days you can forget about using them.

I'm trying to tie down some e-Bikes in the back and I'm finding it's IMPOSSIBLE to use the floor tie-downs because they are stuck in place and you can't pry them up and slip any strap through them. I've even removed them and tried to soak them in WD-40 and exercise them with a couple of pairs of big channel lock pliers. Success on 1 of them but the other 3 are just impossible to even think of using.

What has anyone else found with their cargo bed floor tie-downs?

I had the same issue, but I just loosened the bolts and hit it with some WD and they were fine. You said you already removed them, so that kinda rules the bolt issue being too tight out. Just bring em to service and tell them you want new ones.

@ThatBeastMode, yeah, I got tired of dicking with it and drove over to the Tesla Svc Center. They concurred, there was no way they were going to get those "BED D-RING (1937359-00-B)" (Tesla name & Part #) They replaced all 4 of them under warranty on the spot.. Two of them were finger loose, 2 of them were tight and I backed the bolt out a bit and they loosened up.

@TickTock - good idea with the washers. I don't know if I have a few that are large enough, if not I will in a few days...

Thanks guys.

The guys @ the service center had a hard time finding the right description and part #. Here it is again: "BED D-RING (1937359-00-B)" (Tesla name & Part #)

Ours we definitely over torqued and Machine Oil solved it immediately for us. Loose 1/2 to full turn and you should be good to go!

I think @TickTock has the right idea, washers to rise up the pivot points on the tire downs so they don't get pinched. I'll report back next week when I pick up the washers and install them.

I took the tie-downs off and used WD 40 & Kroil Penetrating Oil on them and was only able to free 1 and the rest stayed locked. Local Tesla SC replaced them all. The replacements might be an upgrade because of the "B" In the part #.

Your picture of the can of 3-in-1 Oil brings back memories of my childhood days tinkering with everything mechanical. Those were vastly simpler days then.
