  1. Cybertruck competitor's mid-gate

Here are 2 pictures of the 2024 Chevy Silverado's mid-gate. The bar between the wall and the glass is removable. I wonder how. Hopefully this wildly successful and Tesla makes the Cybertruck's mid-gate even better. is
  2. Cybertruck updates coming 1/26 on next Tesla earnings call

How do we link to the earnings call? Is it video or just audio? Can anyone provide a link?
  3. Center Seat Delete Campaign!

It doesn't need to be deleted. Unbolt it yourself. It just needs to be a module independent of the left and right seats. I plan on unbolting mine. But if that drawer is a refrigerator I will keep it and just fold the seat back down and climb over when I need to get in the back without going...
  4. Folding rear seats (& center seat) confirmed in new Cybertruck patent! Points to possible pass through?

"The best part is no part." -Elon Maybe the seats could actually be the wall. The dimensions as seen in the seat patent seem to work. Here the tonneau rolls high into a 4" canister and the 60/40 seats ARE the wall. The window folds forward and up. Those who don't want it can just ignore it.
  5. Folding rear seats (& center seat) confirmed in new Cybertruck patent! Points to possible pass through?

I am really enjoying this thread now that it is completely divorced from reality. What if Spartucus had a Cybertruck? That would be cool!
  6. Delivery dates of CT and Cybertruck Van

  7. Delivery dates of CT and Cybertruck Van

Please post all deets about the van. Here are some:
  8. Minnesota

I'm in St Paul, have a Model Y and am a member of the MN Tesla club on Facebook. My delivery position is about 450k. I ordered the tri- motor but will buy whatever is earliest. Some people in this thread have multiple reservations earlier than mine. DON'T FORFEIT. Buy both and sell me one. I...
  9. Why rolling vault cover should be replaced by rigid sliding vault cover. Optionally made of cold-rolled 30x stainless steel.

EPIC! 6'11" (just fits in garage & car wash) Perfect aerodynamics. Inexpensive (It's a topper) Lotsa glass with a moonroof & 6" tall back window. Works great with a Mid Gate!
  10. Why rolling vault cover should be replaced by rigid sliding vault cover. Optionally made of cold-rolled 30x stainless steel.

Two panel tonneau looks like it could fit in the ceiling above the rear seat. The new rear roof lip lines up with the front of the wheel fender. Front blue line is forward limit of width for the panels. I'm hoping this is why they extended the roof lip - to facilitate a mid gate.
  11. Why rolling vault cover should be replaced by rigid sliding vault cover. Optionally made of cold-rolled 30x stainless steel.

I have wondered if an RV version could work with the rear glass roof removed. But then you may just as well remove the wall too. The mid gate idea has been around forever and I would be surprised if the back wall was designed as essential structure.
  12. Why rolling vault cover should be replaced by rigid sliding vault cover. Optionally made of cold-rolled 30x stainless steel.

There are 2 brands of aftermarket rolling tonneau covers. Retrax rolls into a canister 11" in diameter. Roll 'n' Lock fit's inside a 7" canister. Could a 7" canister fit just behind the rear window? (yellow in drawing) This would make the Mid Gate much easier. Retrax also has a motorized...
  13. ? [Update: NOT Production Wiper] New Cybertruck design spied! Shortened front, no door handles, side mirrors, curved windshield glass! [Dec. 10]

Could the 12" extension on the rear roof and it's lack of transparency indicate a possible 3 panel tonneau that conceals in the ceiling? It would make the mid-gate easier. Panels would need to be 21-22" wide and incredibly thin, but it looks like they could fit behind the point where the roof...
