Interestingly, in some 3D printing, glue is used both to keep the object on the print plate, but also to aid in releasing the object once printed. I’m afraid that the steel panels may be “releasing”, I’m sure more knowledgeable folk will chime in on this situation soon.
I believe the real issue is - there is no bolt holding some of the stainless steel pieces on at all. On some, it is only glue. On these sail trim pieces, the plastic frame is bolted on and the stainless steel piece is glued to that. Industrial adhesives can be extremely strong and would pose...
This indeed seems like an issue for the CT. I don’t yet have the issue of panels coming loose - but I seriously wonder if and when I will. The glue may just not adhere with time, temperature variation, vibration etc. I just ordered a PPF wrap and I am now hesitant about installing it, as I...
If you do end up getting the kit and printing one, and find you have a hard time getting it to levitate, you’re not alone.
what I’ve found was there is an initial orientation that opens the door to levitation. Eventually, you will find the one that applies to your situation. For example, mine...
My housing is a bit different but we have the same camera view. I think you will agree it is far superior to OEM. Honestly, for whatever reason, it just changes the driving experience and totally improves situational awareness.
I’m in Southern California. We are seeing a bit more CT everyday. It is definitely not for everyone in regards to the styling. As for the ride and functionality (I don’t tow), I think it is quite good. EV’s in general are not for everyone, however I see more and more and more EVs on the road...
In Makerworld, a levitating CT print is posted

I ordered the kit from Bambulabs and in the middle of printing the base, but I was excited to share.
so the kit is about $60 and the print takes a while, but it is pretty cool.
Hi. The second gen is snugg, but once in it is quite secure. I was able to just push it in using a little bit of force. I don’t suggest using a lot of force - don’t want to damage anything. (Kind of like “do not overtighten the screw” - how do you know when you’ve overtightened until you’ve...
Curious, does your kit include all the installation tools necessary? The kits from TWraps and Tesbros for example come with everything necessary to install. Your price is certainly compelling for those colors.
I enjoyed that! Often times, I’d like a gattling gun or maybe a missle launcher rising out of the bed. But I’d probably get in a lot of trouble. Speak softly, but…
I ordered. I just want the better view of mounting right above the tonneau cover. But now I am wondering if mounting on my lightbar would be good. Probably give me a little more blind spot coverage without sacrificing too much, except a view of the vault when open.
That’s a huge bummer. Good luck, my friend. I’m hoping it’s something simple. One more possible idea… I first connected my wires without pushing in the red slider (part of the connector). It didn’t work and I was discouraged about the whole process. I then tried again and did push in the red...
I’m curious if the light bar controls show up on your screen?
I had to connect the light bar wiring behind the passenger B pillar (some CA law or regulation or other such nonsense) and it did show up on my screen and does function. Before connecting the wire, the CT did not recognize the lightbar.
I just got the light bar installed. I had to connect the wire harness myself (CA) and that took less than five minutes. Actually kind of fun in a DIY kind of way. I was not notified the lightbar was available. I requested service and the reason was for the lightbar, the wheel covers, and the D...
The file actually has both the left and right side on one plate. If you really only have one side, you could just mirror the print along either the x or y axis and it should work for the other side.
let me know if I can be of more assistance
For those with adequate home charging capability, yes, supercharging is unnecessary. As mentioned previously, for many, supercharging is the usual method of charging if living in condos or apartments without the charging capabilities.
We have “free supercharging” on our other cars and only use...
I got the CT as soon as possible as I am not getting any younger. But it makes me feel younger and puts a smile on my face every single time I get in it. I wouldn’t reject free supercharging if they gave it to me, but I’m not gonna obsess about a perceived unfairness. Life is too short to look...
