Ok. I did the thorough cleaning of the window beneath the glare shield. Once again, it’s pretty easy to do if you don’t have the Hansshow digital mirror. It’s a bit of a pain if you do. The window has never been cleaner. I will follow up with the dry wipe anecdotal data. As a reminder, I’ve...
Yikes!
I keep checking mine, gently.
I’ve not had the recall work done yet, but I ordered the replacement wrap from TWraps ( great to work with as always!)
I still haven’t had any dry wipes since my cleaning under the glare shield - but in the sunny morning from the opposite side of the truck, I noticed I did a poor job cleaning the window. I could see definite room for improvement so I will likely do it again tomorrow morning. Wish me luck.

I pretty sure the condensation is on the outside of the truck. At least I sure hope it is. If there were something to prevent the fogging due to outgassing, that would be helpful (on the inside of the truck).
While taking out the trash this morning I noticed this condensation on the windshield right in front of the of the front camera. I wonder if this might contribute to the wipes - not only the condensation itself but perhaps accumulated dirt there? You wouldn’t be able to see the condensation or...
I just cleaned the front of the camera that is easily accessed. I’m not sure if it is the actual lens or just a cover (like on our phones). I agree you should be careful though. I used lens cleaning fluid and lens cleaning tissue and a very gentle hand. Again, I cannot with any certainty say it...
I recently cleaned the glass under the glare shield. I also used this opportunity to very carefully clean the camera lens using a lens cleaning kit. About a week out now and no dry wipes. It could be coincidence but there is a chance the cleaning of the camera lens (or whatever covers the lens)...
I took the time to clean under my glare shield last week. I do have the Hansshow rear view camera installed with the wires under the beauty cover. I took this opportunity to remove the front facing camera (from the Hansshow mirror dash cam system) to free up just a little more room under the...
Southern Cal - never had overt hatred. Lots of love especially by the younger crowd. If I had to chose one demographic to agree with my choice of vehicle, I guess it would be the younger crowd.
but most importantly, I like the CT more and more and every other car (including Model S, X, Y )...
Good job. I’ve always wondered why a third party just didn’t produce a similar product and we just disconnect the original charger. Should be simple and the cords could be well hidden. I guess I could try too.
Does anyone know if the original charger could be disconnected without issue?
I had the CT beast in the driveway with Sentry off and overheat protection off for two weeks, charge went from 80 to 70%. I thought that was pretty good.
Happened to me for the first time ever. Left hand arrow, no cars in the oncoming traffic lane, the CT just pulled into the wrong lane. I took over, left Tesla a voice memo , reactivated FSD and made it home. I felt I was “warned” in earlier posts, so I was “supervising” attentively.
I haven’t compared the with and without temps yet. I’ve got to believe it would slow down temperature increases - but maximum temp is probably about the same. Real world data to follow. I just need some sunny days
Non-scientific update #1 : the screen has been in place two hours on a sunny day, the bit of hood under the screen is warm 115F but the uncovered hood is a burning hot 155F. So it’s doing something.
My current experiment, an external sunshade that covers the windshield and most of the glass roof. Held in place by the windows.
It just takes a minute to place and remove.
AI assisting in writing posts, cars and trucks driving themselves, robots doing our chores, giant space ships flying to Mars…. These are exciting times.
I would personally add that the CT has an emotional advantage for me. It acts like an antidepressant in that every single time I drive it, it makes me happy. Even just looking at it for over a year, it makes me smile.
My eight year old model S still runs like it is new (just the expected range...
