I actually have a theory, the price will go the $3,990. They actually meant to start it at that price but there was a typo by an intern for the reveal presentation and based on the reaction and pre-orders they decided to stick with the $39,900 lowest tier price for a while.
So don't reserve...
It's nice to see official confirmation. Still completely vague.
My advice is buy the basic model now if you can/want, but if finances aren't yet right then it'll like come to this price point again (or if it does go up to $65,000 or whatever, if they run 0% apr that'll be just as good for...
The brand I used was Guardian. Amazon and Walmart carry it at least. The 6 foot worked on my previous car. I had to get a smaller one (looks like it's 22 inches) to extend for the CT width. Could've cut the 6 foot in half but I'd rather have a wider curb for the times I park off-center. The...
I got 6 foot and 2 foot rubber parking curbs. They stay in place without actuality drilling them in and give enough of a bump to know you're in the right spot.
This is going to be the best deal on a CT for a while. The previous fire sale was last September. I'm wondering what delayed spike we see from these at delivery time, Q2 and Q3 could look pretty good.
I'm part of the Cybertruck/Scout Terra/Jeep Gladiator trifecta. Must be something unique about the styling of those vehicles some of us are after. Only owned the CT but the others were serious or potential contenders.
The Cybertruck won for me due to a few reasons.
I'm putting a order on a Basic too, just in case the trim disappears or prices jump after the 10 day thing. Might be a nice flip. Worse that can happen is $250 lost.
Might want to cancel and get a referral code on it to bring the price to $58,990! Or try reaching out to a sales advisor. I know you used to be able to do that.

You're the exact person Tesla is marketing the basic AWD to. Perfect fit for ya!
Would be nice if Tesla only had a basic AWD then you could add options/packages but that would make it too simple for us consumers (and also keep people from overbuying is exactly why Tesla does it the way it is now).
I think once CT sunsets, everyone will look back and agree it sold poorly because of the design. Not the price, not the range, not the CEO. The design. Everyone on this site loves it. Millions of people saw it at launch and loved it enough to put a deposit down. At the end of the day though...
