Why would you not go with the mini? It certainly works well enough, is easier to power, has a built-in-the-dish router, and you can throw it in your backpack with a small battery, or move it around the campsite.
The beauty of the mini is there is no separate router, it’s within the dish itself. Mine is mounted with bungees in front of the display. If I am stationary then I’ll spin it around to the optimum orientation, if I feel like it. It wears a black shower cap so there aren’t any internal...
I drove for hundreds of miles in heavy snow and never had to stop and clean my headlights. But it was a dry snow. If it’s wet that could be a different story regardless of the vehicle. The only thing that needs addressing here are the owners’ prima donna blame-Tesla-for-everything-bad-attitudes
I noticed a rattle develop that seemed to be coming from the driver side door at highway speeds. For the life of me I couldn’t figure out what was loose until I pushed forward on the A-pillar trim just below the speaker. I felt a slight click and then instant quiet!
Checking the internet for CT recall news is a fool’s errand as there are so many haters they will keep software “recalls” in the news for years. But if you want to help rationalize not buying one then it’s the best place to start!
For those that think the auto phone frunk opening delay is too long, well you don’t want it opening every time you’re in front of it. A number of times it starts beeping and I quickly move away to avoid it opening unnecessarily. And I have inhibit at home selected so it doesn’t open if I’m...
Depends on the vehicle but I find it’s about 20-25% more time than whatever Google maps says. I use the Tesla nav as well as ABRP but Google maps is good for quick “what ifs.”
Other negatives that I’ve experienced are:
1. they can start to pop off in deep snow or sand. If you don’t check them then they will later pop off at highway speeds.
2. The internal ring and the outer cover won’t line up well if the tire itself was not put onto the rim with the circumferential...
Agreed. If it happens again pull out the phone and make a video. And make a service request, Tesla can pull the data and see if it’s real or not. If it is real, they’d be the first to want it fixed.
