I am interested in his design to see what the structural flaw of his failure was. It looks like this guy makes a living destroying cars off road. And he makes a lot of videos. Would you happen to remember which one shows the loss of his tire and rack?
What I see in one video is an extra 40...
Thank you for bringing this point up. This obviously has stirred up some emotion on the forum.
FSD is pretty good. Not nearly as good as the FSD on my model 3. HOWEVER, if anyone thinks FSD is going to drive them around safely, let this topic be a fair warning. Many other posts have cited...
Interesting idea. My vehicle wanders back and forth across lanes pretty regularly. It is only when I do not have signal reception that I drive down the middle of the lane properly. Do we really have to be connected to a server to use FSD successfully? That only works where there are lots of...
I believe my CT is 8 1/2" clearance when in Medium mode; it certainly was lower than 11". My floor jack could only go up to 16 1/2", and that was not enough to lift any wheel off the ground.
Here you go:
1. Rack attached to CT
2. Rack unlatched and rolled forward 90 degrees. Note that the slot cover is folded up to attach rack.
3. Mechanism to attach rack. Turn key, fold side plate back, slip rack end in slot on CT, close side plate. Super easy.
4. Sliding mechanism. Friction fit...
FSD in the wrong lane on a two lane highway. This happens all the time - either off to the left or out on the shoulder. Oddly, when I "lose connectivity" the vehicle seems to actually drive in the center of the lane, and stay there. Unfortunately, that is rare.
Constant strikes for trying to keep the car on the road; an example from a two lane highway. Yet nagged when I look to change the temperature setting. Let's hope for some good updates.
Wet climate with rain - works pretty good.
Dry climate - squeak, squeak, squeak. My windshield is scratched.
Snow and grit - pretty worthless.
FSD - keeps the windshield messy for the driver.
Hand cleaning the 1 square foot around the front camera helps.
Yes, I purchased the OEM cross bars after reviewing the options, including building my own. A friend dropped by and showed me his OEM bars. I had not realized the quality, as well as the ease to move them around and to remove them. The variable width (since the truck is not square) is the great...
"Wildfires can burn at temperatures ranging from about 1,472°F (800°C) for surface fires to over 2,192°F (1,200°C) under extreme conditions. In some cases, flames can even reach temperatures as high as 4,000°F, depending on the intensity of the fire.

1. Grab handle for entering the front passenger seat. Impossible for old people now.
2. Increase font size on screen at least 5x. Impossible to read without glasses. Lots of strikes while trying to operate car.
3. Better access to high beams.
4. Cruise control that does what I want, not what...
Soap and water. Drive around the block to dry. No microfiber rags, they feel yucky to touch.
Takes about 15 minutes - super easy with the flat panels. Always tons of bugs on the front vertical panel, but that is small and flat. Much easier to clean than the Ford!
Keep the front camera glass...
It is their club, they can enjoy it anyway they want. It certainly is not the group for me. Nor am I going to share my V.I.N. with strangers.
Me: "I own a Cybertruck."
The Club: "Unfortunately, as you have no existing post/comment history in our subreddit, we're going to take the same...
I appreciate the thread. I often camp and work in places where the offroad ride begins at 120 miles from the nearest charging station - this is 240 miles overhead usage on total range. I typically stay offroad for a week (or two) at a time, primitive style. This is not possible with the CT...
Pedestrians can be hard to see. If a vehicle proceeds when a pedestrian is in the road, other moving vehicles may not see the pedestrian. They may believe the roadway is clear because you are moving. The pedestrian may be struck by these vehicles. Regardless that the pedestrian is either stupid...
I have used Android and Apple, and switched to Apple 2 years ago. It is about a wash difference, but consider the following:
Apple does not require OS system updates. These are optional. Android requires updates to the OS, and these always caused me a lot of grief, continuously, i.e., Android...
It's not like the cold is unique to only electric vehicles... winter diesel fuel turns to sludge at -20F (-29C). Thank you for the story about Alaska, I am better prepared for the cold as a result.
This might be true, but many things can obscure the camera, and perhaps the engineers have not accounted for this. I like the windshield wiper to remove water. Rather though, the wiper seems to be wiping sand or grit across my windshield. 11,000 miles and I have a severely pitted windshield...
