Also, if you live where it freezes, make sure you flush it out and fill it with a known washer fluid for freezing temperatures.
Both when I got my Porsche and Model 3, neither had cold weather washer fluid and both got chunky in the first cold snap.
Good luck. Ive heard from several others
that got their trucks from Libertyville that it was a terrible delivery experience.
I got my VIN Tuesday, no delivery date yet. Message from the mobile app said probably week of August 5th.
CyberBeast, white
Tesla said they’re making a NACS to NACS supercharger extension. I’m also eagerly waiting on that before a trip in September.
There is a CCS adapter that works with Cybertruck. Check Outof Spec motorings videos. They also had a cobbled NACS/CCS extension thing that worked, but was sketchy.
You can put in a 150amp sub panel. But eventually you’ll be limited by breaker loading (total breaker faceplate amperage vs service).
10 years ago, I dropped a 100amp main panel in my garage for welding for a total of 300amps residential service. It can be done depending on your utility...
It’s offsite storage before vehicles are delivered.
Most Tesla galleries and stores have small-ish parking lots as they don’t carry much inventory. During a delivery wave, they use offsite parking to handle the influx, typically rail yard lots, parking garages, etc.
Compare that to a Ford...
At least for Midwest, it seems it’s 2 weeks from VIN to delivery. Got VIN 7/23, and was told through chat, truck was still in Texas getting on the transport truck. Expected 8/6-ish delivery.
I decided to take out a loan. And Ill likely ETF / Plaid payment the rest of it the day of when I see the truck. I'm not concerned with minor things and about the only issue I'd reject the truck for is if it had crash damage. Like someone just heavily curbed it and I think there is casting...
Thats an issue in all camera cars. In our Model 3, there is a procedure for removing the camera cover and cleaning the windshield. I've had to do it a couple times. And we've had our windshield replaced a couple times due to rock strikes.
Its not as simple in the cybertruck through...
Well, Allstate is no longer going to be my insurance carrier. They wanted a $200 increase per month for the CyberBeast. For a total of $438 a month for it and a 2018 Model 3. That’s with house, motorcycles and an umbrella bundled discounts.
To put that in perspective. I have a quote from...
Yes, this is an appropriate repair for this type of cold flow defect in a non-stressed area of the diecasting. They will be using an aluminum doubler applied with structural adhesive, which is stronger and a better option than welding which will wreck the material temper. While the cold flow...
Yes, that is where the passenger front airbag is. The dash material is thin and pre-scribed above the airbag so that it deploys without sending shrapnel into your face and deploys reliably. It’s typical to have a visible cut line, depression or bump in that are due to the tolerance stack up...
Thanks, I ordered a pro kit yesterday. I was going to do the swivel swiffer head, but after testing on my existing windshield, this is looking like the better option.
Had one of those. Used it for long distance commuting. First car I've owned that I truly didn't care what happened to it. And it took a ton of abuse, but kept running well and looking good. The panels were actually injection molded with that color, so scratches didn't matter. Couldn't door...
Interesting. You’re the first I’ve heard actually got a buy back offer. And yes, makes sense your loose the taxes. Sucks, but makes sense.
And also that they are continuing to enforce the resale clause. That indicates we may see a wave of people that resold/ flipped the truck getting...
For alcantara, damp but wrung out microfiber cloth and a couple sprays of Griots interior cleaner. Agitate surface with a horsehair brush if there is embedded dirt and grim.
Fake leather. Griots interior cleaner and detailer.
Actual leather. Interior cleaner and leather 3in1 spray.
I like...
Thanks for the heads up. Just visualizing that gave me those spine tingling heebie jeebies.
I got my ring and pinky fingers smashed in a sliding van door as a kid due to my sister closing it as i got out of the passenger front door. Extra vigilant now.... but all it takes is a momentary...
T-Sportline posted somewhere here that they would have a winter wheel and tire option available in fall-ish. I'd expect Tesla to also have a version available.
Personally, I'm going to get the T-sportline 20" Cyber Steelie with a winter tire when that become available. I think thats a good...
