Hi there. I brought my DeLorean to a car show as I usually do on weekends. But today, a Foundation Series Tri Motor Beast came as well. This was my first time seeing one in the wild.
The owner was very nice. He showed me around the vehicle, walked me through the screens, and even let me drive...
Although recalls and service campaigns are a normal part of owning new vehicles, I’d be curious to know how Tesla handles these for the Cybertruck in terms of speed of parts availability and the manner of handling at the service centers.
Hopefully some early owners chime in on their experience...
Actually that’s what we use for household glass and mirrors as my wife discovered that it is the best glass cleaner that doesn’t leave a film behind.
On their website, it states that the product is ammonia free:

Oh man. It’s unfortunate that the CT got rear-ended after only 450 miles. I’d be pissed.
However, what a show of strength for the Cybertruck. The tailgate is not even misaligned! It looks like the bumper took most of the brunt of the impact. The mark of the outline of the ram grill with logo on...
That’s a good question. Considering only velocities: here they are from the Tesla test:
Glock 9mm, 115 grain 1100 f/ps
MP5-SD 9mm 115 grain 950 f/ps
12 ga M4 shotgun 00 buckshot f/ps not listed
Tommy gun .45 ACP 935 f/ps
A 55 grain 5.56 NATO AR-15 round shows a velocity of 2837 f/ps...
This is great corrosion insight into the Cybertruck’s mysterious “30X” by a Tesla engineer who knows about the subject.
So, if the Cybertruck’s “30X” formula has a higher PREN than marine grade 316L SS, it’s PREN is even better than the DeLorean’s 304 SS.
316L= PREN of 23.1-28.5
304= PREN of...
DeLorean owners don’t fret about maintaining the stainless. Here’s some consolidated advice on the subject from the DeLorean Club of Florida.

My DeLorean was very hot inside in the Florida summer heat. I tinted the windshield with 85% ceramic (practically clear) and the side windows with 20% ceramic. This dramatically reduced the amount of solar heating. This car has a similar flat relatively large windshield. I plan to do the same...
Barkeeper's Friend when used properly is great. Here’s some advice on stainless steel maintenance from the DeLorean Club of Florida pulled from other threads:

Congrats on the delivery. Looks great.
Also happy that at least some delivery centers have the ability to properly remediate scratches, as one would expect. I understand not all centers currently can.
Hopefully the other centers across the country will learn how to do this as well.
This...
On DeLoreans, you need a special flapper wheel brush ( called a wolf wheel) with the right grit sandpaper to properly re-grain a panel or the whole car to factory spec. The panels on this car are relatively soft, so you can fix a scratch by using the right 80 grit Scotch-brite pad and some...
I’m sure a diluted solution containing white vinegar would help reduce mold until the vinegar breaks down, but I haven’t personally seen the need for any cleaner for just dust and fingerprints. I just wash the microfiber cloths after use.
As a car guy, I also use damp microfiber cloths to wipe...
I remember from a recent YouTube Wrap video that the technician commented that there were tiny metal particles on the brand new truck. I think they used a clay bar to remove them.
Whether they were from manufacturing or transportation, I have seen this type of problem before on DeLoreans.
As...
I do not daily drive the car, but I did drive it in heavy rain. On this car, finding proper matching tire sizes is a challenge, so that’s why I chose all seasons.
I’ve learned in the Florida heat, some high performance tires come with the downside of soft rubber compounds, which makes them wear...
