It's not that they really sandbag, they just don't do the 2-cycle method like Tesla and Audi do to provide higher EPA ranges, which produce more realistic range.
That's not how it's previously worked on MS/X refresh or the MY.
Basically the configurator opened to all and you configure what you want and where it was delivered and deliveries were based on what you ordered and where you are.
Tesla isn't using 4680s in the Semi according to Elon. He didn't say which, but the assumption is 2170s.
Also, who knows how long until the 4680s will be ready, but it's good to see that Tesla can shift to other batteries like they did with the Semi.
Edit: I think they will absolutely use the...
Steer by wire, solar tonneau, 4 motors, Plaid version, facial recognition on the doors, etc.
Who knows what it will actually have or won't have. Elon says a lot of stuff, but much of it never comes to fruition.
I have some hopes there will be a higher and lower end version.
Edit: Although, if...
It's fine you don't want change with gear selectors.
It's easier to use, but if it's not for you, don't buy it.
All Teslas are moving to this, but there are plenty of other options for those like yourself.
Ok. So you have a very specific request that no Tesla will likely deliver in the future. I have some as well as debated in another thread. But saying not having stalks is worse for most, is a poor generalization. Tesla took feedback from the S/X and made the new 3 stalkless, but made the yoke an...
Must have been years ago. The car plays spaceship sounds in reverse. Also the backup camera shows up.
It's easier eith the auto reverse/forward. I press the brake and it's in the proper hear 99% of the time and I go.
It's obvious when you are in reverse compared to drive if youve ever been in a Tesla and the screen swipe is just as easy/hard as stalks, but you can also make it play a sound when you switch.
There's 0 learning curve for driving eithout stalks and it's never been an issue in any situation...
It's all a matter of opinion.
I still like my Yoke better and have the option to change it, but never will. If I don't get a CT, will get a yoke in my next Tesla, but it's fine if those don't like it.
I dislike getting my MY after driving my MS every day.
The directional stalks are the most...
So you are hoping that Tesla integrates this? I thought this was a third-party option, but again, why?
What is the use case that someone would need this? Why not put some solar panels with a Tesla charging cable in the bed? If you are camping, you can plug it up. What is the scenario that would...
Why is that obvious? You can't do that with a tesla currently. They plug into the charging port.
Then, what's the purpose? So you can run the AC all day and not loose too much battery? Why would you put it on the dash? Why not drape a larger one on top of the car?
It sounds extremely impractical.
How would you plug it in? you'd have to crack the window to run the cable out of it. Non-reflective solar is typically far more expensive and what sort of extreme weather are we talking about that has a copious amount of direct sunlight?
It's funny how large the dash is, but putting solar...
