I'm not sure if I'm losing my mind, or if Tesla really overlooked this one; is there no Cabin Overheat Protection?

One of my favorite features of Tesla cars, especially in Texas. And I can't find any mention of it in the settings pages, or the owners manual (the manual says the fan might turn on to cool the inside, but no setting for it... and that won't work in Texas - it needs to be A/C), unless I'm blind and overlooking something. This is the first day in my 2 weeks of ownership it's been outside and >75F so I was surprised to see the inside at 114F when my other cars never break 105.

Hoping I've missed it somewhere, or alternately, hoping someone has heard that this is coming in a very quick update? No COP is going to be burn-worthy in the next 45-60 days.

Try submitting your concern/question to Tesla by going into your TESLA App and select ā€Serviceā€. Select ā€œAsk a questionā€ and put in your concern about missing Cabin Overheat Protection in the question box and submit it.
That should get their attention from there and they should respond.

whoooo! 100 Deg?!?! You animal...
It gets 115-120 here in the summer and thereā€™s zero shade at my work and Iā€™m here 11-12hrs a day. I have ceramic tinted windows including the roof, oof shades shades and sunshade and even with overheat protection on, the AC runs almost constantly and my car is white too.
But I usually still ride my motorcycle to work in that heat so itā€™s only once a week or so.

Nope, not in app either. I forgot it was there for my other cars so yeah, looks like itā€™s not implemented.

Wow, if that doesnā€™t scroll down then it seems like they forgot to add that feature.

Straw that broke a šŸŖ back? Really.

It will be enabled in time. I guess one could wait to make sure. Might be a bummer if one's number comes up, only to see it enabled a day later.

I think many are trying to put on the parachute right now as a justification on a way out. Go right ahead. If it's that important now vs. 60 days. It must be so important that one couldn't just turn on the AC from time to time until it is enabled.

I love that the power icon in the app is a hexagon though, as are the features of the dog mode paw print. :)

Yup. This will be my 5th Tesla. I'm used to things being improved as they go. I'm as big as Tesla fanboi as the next guy. But this is sub-par, even for Tesla standards. My first Tesla was a 2014 Model S. At that time, everything they did was magical. Today, they keep taking away capabilities and hinting that we're 2 weeks away from having something so much better.

They didn't take it away. It has yet to be enabled. If you have been around then you know things are added. Still is magical. Some just don't have patience.

Could you imagine changing the speed control for AP via the screen? Yes the big one in the middle. That was at launch. Then they went to on the steering wheel in about a month in a half.

If you need to have a tantrum about not having it now. Please do so. We are all here to support and listen.

This is not removing lumbar support story. Please describe the capabilities taken away for the Cybertruck vs. ones not enabled yet. I think everyone else would think there is a big difference.

Good luck with the camel. I prefer the two humped. Spit less.

Awesome on the 5. You got me beat. 4 th inbound shortly.

Yeah, I think I'm just continually disappointed in the CT, and honestly in Tesla writ large lately. Not a tantrum. Just my opinion. I'm in Vegas, no way I'm giving up my cabin overheat in my Model S for a CT that doesn't have one in hopes that one day they'll enable a feature the rest of their cars roll out of the factory with.

Sure. It is literally a switch. It will be on all cars. Not just the ones rolling off. Really suspect by that comment. I would think one knows that was how dog mode etc. was enabled. They didn't leave anyone out. Tesla Roadsters don't count...

Like I said. Many are looking for parachutes out. Would you like to take a wager for a charity that it would be enabled? Let's say in 6 months or less. You name the amount. How about a dog shelter in Las Vegas?
