Another thread on this suggested charging to 100% might have been a factor. Have any of you with this failure charged to 100%? Many CTs have been charged to 100%, so it is prolly not a root cause of the failure.
FWIW, my parents picked up a brand new 1946 Ford (in 1945 of '46) and it broke...
Tesla doesn’t want us to intervene so they can say there are fewer interventions. You are right they want our feedback when there is an issue and I give them all the feedback when there is an issue.
Yes, it wanted to hug the left side. Frequently driving over the left side lane markers.
As far as charging up to 100% at home, that had zero effect on the charge level when I got home. If I charged to 100% at home before departure, I would just reduce the time spent charging along the way...
Several years ago, I thought if they required TACC on LA freeways it would eliminate traffic jams and debottleneck LA freeways. I'm sure it will be a long time before anything like that happens. I've had to intervene when I did not feel comfortable trusting it or when the GPS mapping is not...
I partly justify the ownership of a truck since winemaking is a retirement hobby. Each year I drive 160 miles to Paso Robles, pick up a ton of grapes and drive home to process the grapes. My 2010 F-150 has done the job well in the past. The bed load rating on the F-150 was 1,000 pounds. It...
On short trips around the city streets, it has done very well. It seemed better than our M3. It ran 2 yellow lights. I was expecting it to stop, but it did not. I could see red traffic lights while still in the intersection which was something I've not seen with M3. It navigated out of a...
These wheel covers must come close to setting a new record for total cost. They look expensive to make with plastic and rubber together. Add to the cost of the first design and wow, glad I don’t have to pay for the new set. Wait, I did pay for both!
I can’t imagine any other auto...
I have a Gen 2 Tesla charger on a 60 Amp breaker. It has internal controls to supply up to 80 amps for the early S/X models. It is set for 48 amps for my Model 3 and I get about 45 mph. It has a short thick connector. I have used it to successfully charge my CT.
I have autopark and so far it is crap. What does “High Fidelity” mean to Tesla? Objects are dark clouds with zero definition. It warns you to stop way before you normally would stop. I really shouldn’t talk about it because I can’t figure out how to initiate it. So much for the user...
I have Tesla insurance at $191/mo on my CT now. The end of September it was going to $231. I changed to Progressive at $170/mo. I live in California and insurance companies are NOT allowed to use the safety score (welcome to a Blue State).
I drive like an old man with an estimated 8,000...
Instead of a wider screen for the rear view picture, zoom in to show what is behind you more like a typical rear view mirror. I agree we need to see the rear view mirror as well as the side camera when the signal is on.
Wonder if possible to have a little more coast when parking. When you...
