I’m 6’5” and no issues. I’m not sure exactly what you’re’ referring to on not seeing the light as that depends on how big the intersection is, where your truck is compared to the light, etc.
On the piece that goes laterally across above the front seats, it might be one of the very few things...
I’ve had no issues with my 50A site. My 30-50 dogbone will not work with the mobile charger. Unfortunately Tesla doesn’t seem to sell a TT30 plug, only a NEMA 10-30.
This is really only a loss if you’re trying to run a ton all at the same time, though. If you’re using this as whole home backup and you’re trying to manage through a prolonged outage, you’ll be trying to minimize load anyway. I know I’m stating the obvious, but it’s an important qualifier on...
Are you sure you haven’t driven through that area before and set it to a different setting (high, medium, low) and the previous setting for that location needs to be deleted?
Has anyone used cybertent mode to level and just sit in the truck? Can you close the tonneau after the truck levels?
I do not actually have the tent. Just want to level side to side.
Tow mirrors unnecessary in my opinion. The airstream already has the rear camera, so I use that. Remember you’ll need to have a cigarette lighter adapter to allow for that to plug in. I think the CT mirrors are much larger than they appear. They fit with the triangular theme of the truck and...
I tow a 25’ Airstream International. As between a Basecamp and a Bambi, those are very different setups, as are many of the others on this list. We bought our Airstream 3 years ago and while I love our setup, there are things I would have chosen differently. I would have purchased a larger...
Running the AC is doable, but as others have said, it depends on how long you want to run it and the specs of the AC. I recently had variable speed ACs installed (unrelated to CT purchase). I can run two at a time. Practically, would just move the family into master bedroom and run the small...
Ish. I usually go past the recommended charge time. I bet half were at or under, half over. A couple were at an hour. I can’t wait to make this drive without towing. I think the battery size will carry a long way. I think may be able to get Dallas to Trinidad on just 2 charges (obviously...
25’. I stopped at 9, one of which was avoidable with conservative driving. I was going to say maybe even 2, but I don’t think so.
look, have no shame in driving 55 or 60 in a 70/75. In the summer it’s not uncommon to see truckers doing it anyway. I often would start at 55 or 60 and then crank...
Unfortunately I don’t have a CCS adapter and certainly not one for the CT.
Haven’t hit Mr Grumpy Pants (yet). Still here for a bit. I did pass by a grumpy pants yesterday who shot me the bird. The level of hate still amazes me. I’m a fan of EVs but not a fan of mandating them or otherwise...
I just finished the first half of my trip, going from Dallas TX to the Ouray CO area. Covered over 1,100 miles. 807 Wh/mi efficiency. That had a mix of everything up to 70mph. According to google maps, it was 38,000 feet of elevation gain and 31,000 of loss.
The bad: V2 superchargers, the...
Cool feature, but it runs the tailgate locking/unlocking mechanism each time. So, it only works while tailgate is open. I don’t know how many cycles that thing has, but using it as a light switch may burn that up over time.
Well, “maintained up to 40%” is only talking about 20-30 seconds. It briefly hit 248 and then started falling off. But again, I arrived at 39% and departed at around 60%. When I departed, it was down sub-150 at that point. I never saw 5%-40%. I have an upcoming multi-stop, long towing road...
I installed and did not lose access to navigate. Could not really tell on charging curve. I was sitting at 39% and topped up to 60ish. I hit 248kW but never got up to the full 250. If the charging curve really does drop now at 40% then that makes sense.
