  1. Towing very disappointing

? Only one time did I have to go 20 below speed limit and that was when I intentionally picked a route that had me arriving at -2%. I ended up arriving at 6%. Next time I’ll follow the route planner and just charge an extra time instead of skipping a charger that looked out of the way.
  2. Towing very disappointing

Thank you, exactly. Everyone has their use cases and if this thread is full of people who are full-timing in a trailer, then candidly the CT isn’t for you. And if you tow a boat every single weekend for hundreds of miles, then even then, maybe it’s not for you. But, for someone who makes a...
  3. Kirkland Baby Wipes: An Unexpected Way to Treat Tough Water Spots

I use BKF and windex as my normal ā€œdeep cleanā€ (I’ve done it maybe 3 times since March). Then, I’d just let it get dirty. I happened to be going to Costco last week and thought I’d pick up these wipes. Great find/hack to the OP. These coupled with a dry Costco microfiber afterwards wipes...
  4. Why does the WSJ hate Elon and Tesla? [āš ļø ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I wasn’t trying to make a MSM argument. WSJ had been an outlet that provided a relative high level of quality in its reporting, it’s just recently really taken a dive.
  5. Quantifying overnight ("phantom") drain

That’s excellent to hear. My experience has been varied, but it’s possible that the most recent update fixed the phantom drain again. My experience has been a roller coaster with some updates seemingly fixing it and then it’s out of whack again. Might be software download related.
  6. Why does the WSJ hate Elon and Tesla? [āš ļø ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Sadly WSJ’s reporting has really gone down in recent years. There have been increasing numbers of ā€œhitā€ pieces marketed as journalism—not just TSLA but other large companies. There’s still some decent reporting, but definitely more agenda/click-bait reporting than journalism.
  7. Range Extender Battery will require install by service center (to be structurally mounted)

It’s also how senior leaders and lawyers speak to cast doubt on any commitment to deliver. I’m not suggesting bait and switch…. But it was curious language. I don’t see the real benefit in the extender for the effort that it will require (mfr and install).
  8. Quantifying overnight ("phantom") drain

Just a side point…. You should be arriving closer to 85% (maybe a little less), depending on weather, elevation change, speed, etc.
  9. Range Extender Battery will require install by service center (to be structurally mounted)

Agreed. Some coverage suggests there’s more gap in the battery pack area that isn’t used. Assuming the plan is to fill more completely then that obviates the need for the extender. Very few people need that much battery. It would be nice for towing but as I posted I just got back from a TX to CO...
  10. Range Extender Battery will require install by service center (to be structurally mounted)

ā€œAnyā€ range extender. Interesting verbiage. Definitely different than ā€œtheā€ range extender. Signaling hesitation in whether a range extender will be produced?
  11. Tesla online store inventory

I don’t think the demand will be that high once FS stops. There’s more incentive to shop around when it’s your own cash rather than a gift card.
  12. Tesla online store inventory

You wonā€˜t want to hear this, but it may not be a 365-day clock. For mine, I just received the voucher and it had a June 30 deadline, not 365 days from receipt.
  13. Are others still waiting for the Powershare shop voucher?

I did finally receive my voucher last week. Late March purchase (when the voucher was rumored to have just been $700). Sounds like most new buyers are now getting them pretty quickly.
  14. Spare tire installed by service center.

When you get your D-rings that will be provided for Foundation series, I think most people can do this setup for significantly less than the tesla price. That was my point. I wasn’t knocking OP’s decision. I was simply pointing out another alternative. That’s it.
  15. Spare tire installed by service center.

I had the fortunate/unfortunate situation of buying a replacement tire just after buying my truck. A fence company was installing a new fence and left lots of nails near our driveway. I ended up with a nail in the tire and I tow on a not irregular basis. Upstanding contractor offered to buy a...
  16. 🦾 Cybertruck doing truck stuff! Post your photos!

I was going to put together a write up with lessons learned towing and generally with the truck. But, closer to 45 than 65. More deets to follow. edit: only the long stretch was that slow.
  17. 🦾 Cybertruck doing truck stuff! Post your photos!

Just finished a 3,400+ mile trip across numerous passes in Colorado from Texas. Longest stretch between chargers was 184 miles with ~4% remaining. It was a slow stretch for sure.
