You do realise Jeremy hasnāt been involved with TG for years? And actually they are much more positive towards Tesla these days. Even the old crew is (and, to be honest, even the old clips were kind of entertaining in a provocative way ā which is sort of the point with them).
Well Jeep is coming out with the Recon next year. Not quite bare bones and probably pricey but a step in the right direction. Theyāve said theyāll do a Wrangler BEV too. They started selling their first full EV, the Avenger, outside the US. Is kind of nice but no offroad beast.
I think a lot of the pressure on EV sales is due to other manufacturers not being able to keep prices competitive. EVs are more expensive and with interest rates high and the economy globally facing challenges, thatās not good for the priciest of EVs. Many manufacturers got blinded by the sudden...
This is excellent news in the sense it means Tesla isnāt completely against having Cybertrucks outside the US. Now Iām guessing Canada is an easy one, as it probably follows American regulations and buying patterns quite closely, but itās a start.
The Cybertruck uses Finnish steel so here next...
I think they are targeting full production for 2025, but with some ramp next year (100K or so). While mathematically it does indeed take years to reach a million from there, thatās assuming everyone on the reservation list makes the purchase as soon as their number is called. Also historically...
Delivery day will soon be upon us. Anyone put together any juicy speculation about availability outside the US? We have seen one driving in Canada, but I believe that was on Californian plates. Before that, New Zealand testing and Mexico, potentially Iceland (or has that been fully debunked?)...
Will be driving past the Tesla store near Helsinki tomorrow. If thereās no Cybertruck on show, there will be consequences.
I will shake my fist angrily at this forum.
It was his vehicle. Just focusing on controlling it with Smart Summon.
School runs btw are one of those things you see in all American TV series, but is actually quite alien a concept for us. Round here it's basically "Walk/cycle your own way to school!" or "Take the bus!" "What do you mean...
Probably another good indication of why, for hauling stuff, a van, with its tall, boxy shape, is superior to a pickup truck. Even a van based people carrier or a large SUV (with dropped seats) would allow you to carry the bike on the inside. I know, blasphemy for Americans ;)
Oh I agree that there is some reason to be concerned about the visibility out of the CT. I love the visibility on our old Defender with its upright and slim (by modern standards) A pillars. Plus you can see the corners of the bonnet, which match up almost perfectly with the edges of the car...
Youāre not factoring in the viewing angle, though. These pictures are from the passenger side. The driver view of the same pillars will be different, squishing the vertical one and, depending on the diagonal angle of the A pillar, effectively shortening or partially hiding it. I do find in other...
Yeah, the VW ID.Buzz at least had that (as an option anyway). But itās not a LED strip glaring straight into your eyes all the time. Itās tastefully done. Now would I pay extra for that option? Probably not.
