Thatās a bit like saying āThe bigger the apple is, the larger it is!ā :)
Anyway, Elonās estimates have always been way off. Just remember that when you picture yourself making money from your Cybertruck by allowing it to run as a robotaxi.
Doors could be self-structural though. I mean that traditionally doors will have some kind of internal frame, which takes space and maybe weight, but it may be that with thick stainless steel as a door exoskeleton they may be able to avoid some of that internal structure.
(pure speculation)
Not to dismiss your condition, which must be horrible, but now imagine traversing a tight bend, with the wheel at over 90° and not being able to reposition your hands, or hitting those indicator buttons at awkward angles.
A yoke and touch sensitive buttons (btw do they even work with gloves...
As a side note, Outokumpu means āOdd hillā. I believe this may be referring to the hill that started it all for them, a copper mine that was discovered and around which the company was formed.
This is a difficult one. Maybe: Oh-to-koompoo
But it will still sound off. Oh as in āOh!ā but to as in ātolerateā.
If you can get all your āuā sounds to be like the end of āoh!ā (kind of like a w), then youāre closer.
Iām not dismissing their trip, and who knows what other conditions they faced. But when a video is hyping up offroad driving, and whatās shown is a gravel road not unlike the one I drive every day in any regular car, itās not really convincing me of the CTās offroad creds. Compare to what Rivian...
The vans are in Europe. But I wouldnāt imagine the safety regulations being that different in that regard. Isnāt the VW ID.Buzz coming to the US? Will they be bringing the delivery van version at all with three front seats?
I agree 100%. But you are assuming the same transmission, which is broadly not the case for EVs. Low range gearing and a clutch allows the relatively poor torque of the ICE to be converted to high wheel torque and the ability to slip to get a load moving. Remember that tow rating is done on an...
Nice to see price cuts but the article kind of skims over the reason why there were fewer deliveries. Those factory upgrades happened and Model 3s have been almost unavailable in many markets.
Happy to be corrected. But for instance many EV vans tow half of what their ICE versions. Many EVs arenāt even rated at all for towing. You can also look up wheel drive (not motor) torque figures for a Wrangler in low range and compare to a Rivian. But happy to learn more.
Nobody doubts EVs...
Actually many EVs out there actually tow less than their ICE compatriots. While EVs have high immediate motor torque, ICE vehicles may have more wheel torque due to gearing. They can also ride a clutch to get things moving on an incline. Of course you could slap a low range gearbox to an EV but...
Nobody was talking about speeding. But things happen. Which is why I prefer to keep my hands in a position of good control. You seem to advocate for that later yourself.
You mention āone instanceā. Roundabouts are an everyday occurrence here. Tight bends are also quite common. Yes, those are...
