Cost for plastic, both the Tesla and the customer are far better than any metal. Plastics pretty forgiving for the sorts of incidental impacts you get on the bottom edge. Metal not so much.

Why not a mount attached to the underside of the frunk lid? Seems those reinforcement channels would be a great place to weld a few anchor nuts that would allow you to screw any variety of overhead mount systems to them. Depending on free real estate, might not be too visible, but of course...

I think you misunderstood me. My point was that the showroom it's being displayed at should detail them before putting them on display. But humans being humans some details will be better than others.
