  1. What we 100% know about the Cybertruck

First of all, some facts. A $100 fully refundable CT reservation shows interest but it does not equal ownership. It was a smart move by Tesla to assess market viability but at this point nothing is guaranteed. As for opinions, I think the total CT reservation number is considerably higher than...
  2. Update from Elon: Cybertruck production starting late 2022 and volume production in 2023

Whenever it is ready, it will be the best and most unique vehicle Tesla has built. I'm in, and patiently waiting for my next and perhaps last daily driver.
  3. Update from Elon: Cybertruck production starting late 2022 and volume production in 2023

After ordering the CT on Dec 3rd, 2019 I'm like 325K on the list and 85K on the Dual Motor list. Early 2014 seems about right and yes, it is a damn long time to wait but I'm pretty confident it'll be worth it. I too have a Model Y (3 year Tesla Lease delivered 07/29/2021) to "tide me over"...
  4. Cybertruck Final Iteration Reveal Date and Production Questions

Very well thought out post but from a clarity standpoint your reference to "they have the resources from not being so entangles with traditional overhead" could be more plainly stated as no sales and marketing departments with their bloated budgets. That saves Tesla billions of dollars compared...
  5. Cybertruck takeaways from AI Day: coming in about a year & getting upgraded AI hardware for FSD

I ordered a CT DM on Dec 3rd, 2019. I expected it would be at least 3 years before I took delivery so I leased a Model Y LR in June. The MY is a great vehicle and it makes waiting for the Cybertruck much easier. In the meantime, the wife is getting a Model 3 SR and we have ordered Tesla Solar...
  6. The Cybertruck was my intro to Tesla

I have seen many Youtube drag races involving Tesla models and only a few were on "special surfaces" e.g a drag strip . Their AWD traction control gives them a huge advantage over other e and non e cars. They don't need special surfaces to achieve Tesla's published 0-60 times. In several cases...
  7. The Cybertruck was my intro to Tesla

I'm exactly 75 miles into ownership so not enough data to say much about the ride quality. The seats in the Y are fantastic and on decent road surfaces the ride has been good. Tesla makes it easy for a prospective buyer to judge these things for themselves by offering reservation based 20-30...
  8. The Cybertruck was my intro to Tesla

The reason I ordered the Tri-Motor was the 500 mile range, not the 2.8 second 0-60. With the proliferation of Supercharger stations, 300-400 mile range and 4.8 0-60 of the Dual Motor will be just fine.
  9. The Cybertruck was my intro to Tesla

I reserved a Cybertruck Tri Motor on Dec 3rd, 2019 thinking it might be available when my current cars lease ends this summer (Range Rover). I have no idea where I am in the delivery schedule que but with my current vehicle coming off lease soon I need a car. With an strong interest in Tesla and...
  10. I Cancelled my Cybertruck for the F150 Lightning

I understand the OP's decision. The Lightening seems like a good move by Ford and is an important step for EV's in the US.
