I tried the Cyberswag replacement fasteners.
Pros:
- Easy to install
- Seem to lock the cover securely
Cons:
- They donāt stay in when you loosen them
For me, the con is too much. I donāt want to lose the fasteners when I have the cover off.
I reinstalled the OEM and stuck an old stub...
That's what I do (except I use a small piece of cardboard, haha!!). Phone still gets warm, but it charges.
I also had the OEM charger upgraded to the latest version (I have FS AWD delivered May, 2024).
MagSafe chargers work fine with the Air. I've got one for the nightstand and no issues at all.
My question was directed at the line "Works with any iPhone/Android that has a MagSafe case"
One way of reading that is that a (MagSafe) case is required for the Twraps charger to work. Not...
Looks great.
Question: Do you have to use a (MagSafe) case, or can you use a caseless MagSafe iPhone?
I ask because I recently got an iPhone Air and I'm going caseless now.
Battery life is definitely less.
My wife wanted the Air but she sometimes struggles to get through the day with a 16PM. Iāve never had that issue so battery life is fine for me.
I do miss macro once in a while, but I just use the Apple Magnifier app.
Understood. Iāve always had cases with built-in stands, etc. and I might decide to go back to a case on the Air after a while.
For now, I donāt miss the case. Just digging the form factor and lightness of it. Reminds me of my favorite pre FaceID iPhones, the 6/6s+ & 7. Big screen and thin and...
24,800 on OEM AT (FS AWD) so far.
Took it in for cantrail recall and asked them to rotate the tires.
Telsa measured 6mm in front, 4mm in rear and said no rotation was needed.
I can confirm that the iPhone Air charges on the revised Tesla charger. This is without a case.
It gets warm but not scorching. Tapping on the screen while charging shows the iPhone considers it a 'slow charger'.
Awesome...and the best color if I don't say so myself, haha!!

BTW, I had the cantrail recall done and just rewrapped them with the pieces I got from @TWRAPS They came out perfect!!
I did the 'Invisible Glass tool on a paint pole with a microfiber' for over a year.
Then I saw this for $20 on Amazon: Amazon.com: Eazer 89'' Squeegee Window Cleaner 2 in 1 Rotatable Window Cleaning Tool Kit with Extension Pole, Window Washing Equipment with Bendable Head for Indoor/Outdoor...
Same here (FS AWD ~21,000mi delivered May 2024).
Started out crisp, have gotten a bit mushy and sometimes don't respond to presses.
Rears are still crisp (and get almost zero use).
Just picked mine up from West Covina SC (FS AWD) for cantrail recall, wireless charger upgrade, and tire rotation.
Great service as always. Was given a FS AWD loaner without asking.
They checked tread depth on all tires, and determined no rotation needed. No charge.

Does this install affect the crumple zone protection?
While I'm sure Tesla has tested it with the frunk loaded (and it's rated to hold 441 lbs.) I'm not sure about a large metal framed object.
I like the added utility this brings. Nice work!!
