Why would that matter to them? they already have our money. They are still selling every truck they are making with or without autosteer. Unless people stopped buying trucks they wouldn't change a single thing on their development schedule. Nothing we can do would ever influence autosteer...
Those look like the fingerprints I have on the edges of my doors. They were clearly there before I got the truck (I have pictures of them from before delivery, I assumed they'd come off with BKF). Nothing I've tried has gotten them off, short of sanding the door.
The sign that you have the...
I had a pretty hard time as well. For some reason the applicator seems to be giving off lint and air bubbles, no matter how gently I interact with the truck surface or the container of coating. I tried 3 times trying to get the right amount of coating without worrying about the dust or...
I know that I could do this, but I wasn't sure if I had an issue with the truck or that other EVs have OEM chargers that will not work on the truck (and as crissa pointed out, a generator).
I did not have the backwards (to me) J1772-NACS adapter for this. We didn't even actually "need" to do...
I agree, it's weird how this stuff spreads. Every podcast I listen to, even the ones with (normally) the most nuanced takes... as soon as the news turns to tesla, they just repeat whatever fake news they hear without any verification. All of the problems tesla actually has, and they have to...
So, I took my laptop out there and plugged it into 120v. Works fine.
Took my multimeter out there, I show 120v on X-N, and Y-N, as well as 240v X-Y.
So you may be right, it may be detecting that as a ground fault.
Has anyone tried another manufacturer's EV charger in the bed of the truck? The Chevy charger will not start charging on either voltage in my bed. I do not show the same errors plugging a tesla mobile charger in.
Alright, for anyone who was following along with what I was saying earlier... I did some experimenting.
The 12v battery powered buffer mentioned in that video early in the thread works very well in combo with the soft buffing disk and spray BKF. it takes off discoloration that would normally...
So I pulled up the store page and compared it to my divider. There's definitely a difference between the two. Does yours have the full round pegs? or the pegs with a flat on them?
This was my initial thought, but the reason that the latch broke is because it's much harder to latch if the height between the L track and the bed floor is wrong. So I'm hoping they addressed the actual issue, and not the symptom.
A beefed up latch will solve the latch breaking only, but...
You do, but you don't get the same amount of information as you do from a normal rearview mirror. My ideal setup is to have a nice and zoomed image in the rear view mirror, then the existing rear view image on the display. As I go on to explain below.
This isn't true for everyone. I could...
hopefully this helps those of us who can't get it to fit everywhere in the bed. Mine only fits on top of the under bed storage. It doesn't fit a single other position in the entire length of the bed.
bluing will ruin the temper of the steel, and would be incredibly difficult to get a homogenous color across all of the various panels of different thicknesses on the truck.
As far as other coatings? probably possible to do something like a DLC coating, if you were willing to completely...
yeah that "should" work but I tried 10 or so applications and the bronze spot didn't go away. I believe the soft buffing pad plus spray bkf (or citrisurf, it's pretty equivalent and I have used both) will make quick work of it though.
This is true, unless you have scratches, or other issues...
Sorry for the triple post, but I want to make sure people already following along see the post.
This guy really is not smart. What happened here is the tesla tech told him "use maroon and then blue scotchbrite pads with this process".
You should never need to do that part of the process...
Side note, I just watched that guy's video... there's zero chance that the liquid BKF caused that much scratching. I have some tough areas on my truck where I used it, and you couldn't even tell the difference between where I used the spray or the liquid. He's lying. He probably used green or...
Are you sure the truck was in medium height? did you check the height immediately after? Or was that just where you had previously set it, and the next time you checked after you had slowed down, it still showed medium? I ask because I've noticed nothing I do will keep my truck in medium...
Yeah 15 days and 600 miles and I have not yet gotten used to them. I have to look every time. Usually I try to time it so I look well before I hit them, but I do have to look.
Maybe 1 time out of 25 I can remember which is which without looking. More often than that I accidentally hit it...
