I was also assuming more like a Jan 2025 Non FS release plus a long wait to get one.
There seemed to be a million “got my invite! What is this foundation stuff! Waiting for the regular model!”
Those became “waiting for the tax credit!” Guys (remember, 2024 non FS didn’t qualify)
Then the tax...
how old are your kids? This just be age based. Elementary school it’s cool. High school I think you hit the “too cool to like stuff” / fear your actual positive opinion might be uncool so stick to the negative to avoid getting made fun of
My understanding is that off gassing / general crud build up makes it way there as I guess it’s not perfectly air tight, and the hazy look makes FSD think it’s either raining or the exterior is dusty and needs a wipe.
This is a great point. Can’t describe the ride and handling on a grid of features. It’s way better than I originally expected upon reservation. Also, I don’t have a long distance towing use case or ultra remote destination use case so any of the changes don’t impact me.
The phantom wiping when in FSD… I know you can technically clean the interior windshield by removing the enclosure where the camera is… but I’m just not going to do that. Most owners aren’t.
Yes, I’d buy again. Would I have told myself to wait until the peak hate ended (about a month ago?), which also happened to coincide with lower prices, perhaps.
I would say though that if I did not purchase again I wouldn’t have bought anything else as nothing else on the new market checks the...
Yes. And what makes FS buyers “whole” in light of this? Doesn’t have to be fancy or cost them anything. Early FSD build access? 1 free FSD transfer to next Tesla? Guaranteed / prioritized AI5 upgrade down the road? Gigafactory tour?
Or nothing. Tesla owes FS buyers nothing. Just saying, maybe...
I’ve been fine with the incentives, lower prices, etc. I got to enjoy my truck for a full year longer and life is short. For some reason this is bothering me (retroactively rewarding all existing CT buyers EXCEPT FS buyers)
Yeah, I’m in the camp of “people make arms length purchases with information available at the time and so be it”
But this is rewarding non-FS buyers who already purchased without FSD after their purchase as a nice surprise.
Glad for you all but come on Tesla
Nice setup. Have a simple air down kit, gauge, and a pancake compressor.
Want to upgrade to auto stop deflators, a compressor that can fit in the under bed storage, and maybe a kit like the rhino one.
The on board electric all makes this so easy. Love it
The math is correct, but the trade-off is that you may be paying slightly more to bear absolutely no used car market risk if lease even if you qualify for the credit.
