So I'm actually a relatively early reservation holder, this isn't just wishful thinking from someone who ordered a week ago.
I still predict that if they batch out emails in some sort of chronological order, that a very large percentage will not have cash on hand to pony up. How long would...
A lot of folks are very excited to talk about where they see themselves in the pecking order for reservations.
I'll be honest, I don't think it matters. We all know that the number of reservations is vastly overstated, that there will be a massive portion of folks who will not follow through or...
One thing that got me all spun around... the Model Y LR's coming out of Austin are apparently using 2170's, not 4680's...
I guess I was living under a rock... or simply spending too much of my time focusing on the CT that I didn't really read too much into the Model Y's haha. Oh well... 2170...
Whelp it isn’t a cybertruck but I can at least say that within a couple of days (fingers crossed) I’ll be taking delivery of a LR Model Y with an Austin VIN.
Really excited, and this was also unexpected since I was literally told by a Tesla rep about a month ago that it would be highly...
Perhaps they decided a telescoping wiper would be a better deal than the BAW... I'm not crazy about either design to be honest... then again I'm not an engineer, just a guy complaining on the internet :)
True, maybe I'll just run the conduit, but it would be so much easier not to. Plus I'll have to get a bit more familiar with Colorado electrical code, when junction boxes are needed, etc.
Also, regardless of where I put the wall charge it will still have wifi and will be able to connect to the...
I am trying to game plan where to place my wall charger in my garage.
Long story short, I could:
- Install the charger right near where the chargeport on the car will be, but it will require a decent bit of conduit to get there.
- Install the charger right next to my panel, and then leave the...
this reminds me of EuroTrip when they're in Vlatislava
"There is a train coming very soon!"
"oh great, there's a train coming"
"Yes, they are building it now!"
Alternative option... buy the CT anyway, then turn around and sell it for likely a hefty premium to a thirsty crowd willing to pay above market price to get a CT immediately :)
I am... very excited about this. Was going very concerned about the cost of insurance with a very expensive Cybertruck through a legacy insurance company
Personally I hope they dont given that my understanding was they were trying to make the mirrors easily removably by the end user...
Assuming they follow through with that I'll be popping those mirrors off day 1 of ownership
nice job, doesn't really look all that ugly, especially when you consider the potential utility of it
As someone who used to install residential and commercial solar, I'd say that's easily the footprint of two PV panels
Just looked at Randy's latest drone footage out at Austin, and he mentioned that all of the wall paneling was in place around the casting cathedral. Does that mean that the CT 8k Ton press is on site?
I know there are some loading bay doors around the cathedral, but are they big enough to fit...
I'm gonna guess that with 1 Million "pre-orders" for the original looking design, Tesla does not have any incentive whatsoever to change the exterior/structure of the CT whatsoever... what they are doing now is working
I do like the render though,
I'm gonna bank on the aftermarket community coming up with some pretty ingenious creations for this problem. I'm a huge mid-gate hopeful, but given the radio silence on it from Tesla I'm going to assume it ain't happening.
I really like that idea of folding the middle & passenger seat flat...
