I used a 14-50 outlet at 40 amps. The s says it’s charging at 29 mi/hr. That should be 8.8 kw. It’s more than enough to charge overnight.

A standard 220v dryer receptacle is all you need. It will charge the S at a rate of 30mi/hr

I would guess the 500 mile range depends on the new battery being developed. If it doesn’t get developed we will be waiting like the people who reserved the roadster......still waiting for a 600 mile battery. I,m guessing battery day will keep getting delayed on till the battery technology...
