I feel ya.
I never thought the Cybertruck wouldn't have FSD or Autopilot at launch.
I sure hope by the time my number gets called Autopilot is active on it, and FSD is not too far away.
I would drive about 450 miles one way on trips 3 times a year.....stopping 5-10 minutes once for the comfort station. Then when I arrived I still need to get gas for about a week.
As an EV owner now, I sure do stop a LOT more on trips, just the nature of owning an EV.
I do miss the...
I have an EV. I drive an EV. But still have a dinosaur breather in the driveway as well.
Had a "long range" F150 with the large gas tank and got 700 miles of range before adding more liquid carbon in the tank.
I don't care about joules, or kWhs. Just want convenience when using my...
Hopefully the Industry will continue to make improvements to both the charging speed/curve and range.
Love my EVs, but I will welcome greater range. Hopefully in the next 5 years or so.
Kyle with Out of Spec did a recent test of a Rivian R1T Max Pack which is rated at 420 miles of range.
He got no where near that.
I have an EV. And that is one of the reasons I reserved the 500 mile range Cybertruck back in November 2019. I knew I would never actually get 500 miles on one...
500 delivered this year?
But plenty of people on this message board told me Tesla would deliver 3000-4000 by year end.
So I shouldn't believe them when they say Tesla will deliver 150,000 in 2024?
Understandable.
I too reserved a 500 mile range truck. It was November 2019, and I truly thought Tesla would deliver that much range. Why would they say they were building a 500 mile range model, if they actually couldn't.
I understand why they are not able to deliver on that promise...
Excellent idea.
If fact, they should extend that to ANY reservation holder....except make it refundable.
It has been 4 years. Time to make a step towards finally commitment.
$1000 is not significant, if you are preparing to close on an $80,000 - $100,000 vehicle "soon".
If after 4 years...
I can tell the real Kool-Aid drinking Fan Boys.
They will say this ESTIMATOR is wrong and the Cybertruck will be available sooner! Ha.
Same people that told me I was wrong when I said the Cybertruck would cost between $79,000 and $99,000. Said I was totally wrong and it would never cost...
January 2027 sounds about right.
Which is the biggest issue with the CyberTruck, and the hype Tesla encouraged about it.
It is not available.
If you want to pull your 28 ft boat in and out of the water, and over to the marine mechanic, you need a truck NOW, not in 4 years. You are not...
I am good with the price of the Dual Motor.
I expected there to be a model at the $79,000 threshold, so it is not a surprise.
And I expected there to be a $100,000 variant, because demand is so incredibly high.
What I didn't anticipate was a 250 mile version. I thought the marketplace...
It is surely a dilemma for many people.
AND Elon warned during the last Earnings Call to investors that affordability was going to be a problem. He was accurate.
Don't forget tax. I live in Virginia and they charge both a Sales Tax on purchase, and an annual Personal Property Tax on the...
