When I had my 3 delivered Tesla handled everything and I had no contact with the delivery company until the vehicle showed up. Tesla hired the carrier, not me.
I had my '22 Model 3 delivered to save me a 10+ hour round trip, worth every penny, but in my case the car was clean. The driver did almost come off the ramps crooked when unloading until I stopped him :eek: Communication with Tesla seems to have been better back then though.
I think you may be over emphasizing weight when aerodynamics play a greater roll when long distance towing at speed. Once the vehicle and trailer are up to speed the weight impact is much less, (unless a lot of hill climbing is involved.)
Rimac has created some impressive vehicles over the years. I remember him from the DIYelectriccar forums when he was just learning how to convert his BMW to EV, he went on to build a world class EV supercar, (years before the new Telsa Roadster has come out by the way).
Wonder what? I saw the trailers in person, (he used to live near me), and they worked. I think he left out the battery hookup details because he was hoping to make some money from what he figured out by advising others how to do it, not sure if anyone tried to replicate it though. My guess is...
