Different risk tolerance I guess. I'd rather "waste" some time than risk wasting a lot more running out of charge somewhere. An unexpected detour could ruin your day.
True but if you're towing your mileage buffer is going to be smaller and I don't think too many people want to risk running out while hooked to a trailer. I think most people like to have some leeway in case of detours and other unforeseen conditions. I went as low as 6% in my 3 stuck in...
Few people will push their luck by going to 0% when pulling into a Supercharger, more likely 10% and above, which means for most 15% of the charging time might be accelerated.
I don't see how 350kW is going to change much considering how quickly the CT charge rate starts dropping on the existing 250kW chargers. After 25% it goes under 250 and drops quickly. They need to improve the cell level charge acceptance rate to make a big difference...
I should have said or similarly abrasive cleaner or polish. He has a number of videos trying different products but certainly not every product in the world. Point is these spots didn't seem to wash off and needed some abrasion.
I don't think so, less aerodynamic vehicles take less of an efficiency penalty when towing a load. A normal truck will lose some range but a smaller percentage. Also since ICE are such inefficient power plants they have plenty of waste heat to push into the cabin and don't need to heat a...
This test was at almost 11K lbs with a very un-aerodynamic load, I wouldn't call that "small". Also it's not the 500 mile or even 470 mile version so not a good comparison. Plus Tesla never said you'd get 500 miles while towing.
Out of Spec Detailing is working with a company to come up with a ceramic coating that doesn't change the color of the SS. I think the existing ceramic coatings would work if you don't mind a change in the color.
This doesn't make sense to me, why would it be "typical" to start with less than 100% when towing in a range limited vehicle? You know range is going to be drastically reduced so common sense and IMO "typical" behavior would be to start with a full charge. Why handicap yourself?
