$299 a month for insurance or $3,588 a year is a lot for Tesla insurance. Was really hoping Tesla would be the cheap insurance option for convenience.
A few years ago $299 for a used car was the payment!

Thanks for the tip as I too live in LA and have Costco insurance for my passenger vehicles. They won’t insure my commercial work vans. But not having a vin, I couldn’t get a quote. So know I have at least an idea based on your proximity to me and Costco.

Same here, just got my VIN for the AWD, called my Farmers' agent, it's quoted at $1743/year, not bad, maybe because I'm a great, aged driver, in CA, bayarea.
