I just don’t like seeing that undercarriage and suspension from the rear.

Then keep the diaper that comes with the truck. I find it better looking. I see plenty of trucks suspension from the rear.

The whole idea of this product is two fold. Improve angles departure and approach(via backing up), and to provide a more robust bumper.

If one covered those items up it would create a sail underneath.

How much dirt are we seeing out of people's diapers that have offroad? I cleaned mine out. It wasn't horrible, but less here is more in my thoughts.

I noted the corners are tapered slightly. Will the bumper contact a vertical obstacle before the corners of the truck?

I Like it a lot!
But if I was to improve one thing, the tire holder. The tire is really heavy. Not really a one person, easily done job to pick that 35” tire up. Then put it on the rack. If the rack was designed not only to swing out, but to also pull a pin and drop rearward on the ground. You could actually mount the tire to the plate by yourself. Then push the tire back up to the body of the truck and lock the pin holding it up vertically!

Thanks for your feedback, unfortunately it adds complexity and then you would be lifting the tire and the arm.

it is, welds will be better! The rear motor cover we designed covers the back of the frame that is open.

no, the edges are 1" further out than body panels.

Sorry, I don’t understand your reply. You answered no to the question, if the bumper will strike an obstacle before the truck’s body panels or tailgate contacts the obstruction. Then you said the edges (of the bumper) are further out than the (truck’s) body panels. Those 2 statements seem contradictory to me. Can you please clarify?

WOOT! Looks great and finally out!

Love the design! But I’m holding off for now because:

The air suspension doesn’t have much travel in Very High or Extract mode.
The current battery skid plate seems a bit thin and could be at risk of punctures or bending even before the original bumper is likely to get scratched.
The front tie rods and upper control arms feel a little fragile, so the factory setup seems better suited for mild overlanding than serious off-roading.

Without addressing these, the off road bumper might end up being more for looks than function, but that’s just my two cents.

Also, just curious, does FSD still work if a rear-mounted spare tire blocks the right-side of the rear camera?

I can say that after all of the software updates the cybertruck is very capable off-roading. Even with the stock ATs I've been able to do things I didn't expect it to do. I have a set of Kenda Klever MTs now but still looking for a good set of wheels to put them on (it was a good sale).

CyberTruck Co's bumper is specifically designed for off-roading and the clearance. The other brands bumpers are designed more as stock replacements. Thats why I've been so excited about this one. It actually gives us clearance that stock takes away.

Yes, however you could have the bumper cover the sub-frame with no adverse effect on departure angle.

The 2019 prototype had the perfect design before Tesla had to start compromising for efficiency/cost on the production version, they should just copy that instead.

My understanding is that is exactly what @CYBERTRUCKco have done. I’m hoping it looks much like this, and specifically that it is black.

the bumper sticks out 1" longer on the rear and the sides at the back end. IF you come off a rock the body should not be touched. Hope that helps.
