Compare the vulnerability of this traditional pickup vs. the Cybertruck:

This is what I used before the Cybertruck, and I never worried about it either. I'm 61 years old, life is too short to worry about minor things that probably won't happen anyway. I mean, it's a truck, right? Use it sensibly.
I am 66 and when I was 65, it happened. So you have a few more years to go...lol. I broke the back window. I did it on my RIdgeline, and I was being careful. It happens.

I’m currently on a month-long road trip for biz from FL to Houston to Seattle to Arizona and back to FL. The beast is doing great. Drove through several winter storm warnings including very heavy snowfall. Headlights never needed clearing, and I never put chains on my AT tires. Slept on the rear seat air mattress a couple nights in sub freezing conditions, so comfortable it was fun. Defrost mode completely cleaned the windshield. I love this truck.

That sounds awesome! Nothing like a road trip but without the work.

It doesn't sound like you were being too careful. I mean, you broke the window, right?

The last piece of wood took a bounce and just touched the rear window. Shattered like it was made it of ice

Time for my first EV (2011 Nissan Leaf) to get a new battery. CT taking care of its seniors:

Somebody on the forum was crapping on these cars earlier today, but I gotta tell you that thing (even though it had no range) was mind blowing!

My wife had two of them (totaled the first one). Got them both from Carmax for about $10K each (white just like yours).

That thing rides around like it’s a Rolls-Royce just exceptional. Build quality was superb on both of ours.

Yeah. It definitely is dated but when I bought it in 2011 it cost less than half the cheapest Tesla. I don't think it gets enough credit for being the first affordable mass-produced EV. This will be it's third battery but this time the one I am putting in has almost twice the capacity so it should last a lot longer before it can no longer do what I need. Would be cheaper to just buy a more recent used Leaf but I know it's history and it has sentimental value (was the first new car I've ever purchased).
