You have to wait until you see an invitation to configure in your Tesla.com account. Some receive an email alerting them while others only find out of the invite by periodically checking their account online.

Don't wait for an email. Might never come. I still haven't received any email from Tesla. Yet, checking my account daily on December 11th I saw I was able to configure and pay the 1k deposit and on my way.
