I cannot comment on this particular charger though.
In my opinion lectron makes decent products. I had a charger from two years ago have a burnt plug, they replaced the charger under warranty. I also use their auto switcher in my garage to run an oven and charge Model Y.
The universal wall connector is SO
good and so well integrated into the Tesla ecosystem I find it hard to understand why people go elsewhere,. The daisy chaining, the PowerShare, charge on solar, and the built in adapter and 48 amp speed are hard to compete with.
This seems like a genuine value proposition though if you don’t need or want any of the above which I’m a little surprised by on a Cybertruck forum. Our cars stand to gain the most functionality from the Tesla charger.
That said, $150? What do you have to lose? If you hate it or need any of the above features later, just replace it with a wall connector in a year.
The hardwiring will be the same because it will also need a 60 amp breaker and awg safe for 48 amps. It’s basically just like changing a really big wall outlet.
