This is exactly what I am wondering. I read on another thread that somebody else said that if you have higher than 20.9 you can’t get 12.5 when it comes out.Did I misunderstand? If I take 2024.26.3.1 it will delay me from getting FSD when it comes out vs staying on current 2024.20.9?
It really depends on if they add FSD 12.5x to the 2024.26 branch. So far all the FSD 12.5x are based on the 2024.20 branch. The 2024.26.3.1 release is still FSD 12.3.6.This is exactly what I am wondering. I read on another thread that somebody else said that if you have higher than 20.9 you can’t get 12.5 when it comes out.
That is the "rumor" but I have not heard anyone from Tesla state that is the case. It would be "odd" to have the leading most advanced and earliest update adopters suddenly skipped for FSD deployment, it would be counter to what Tesla has consistently done in the past. I went ahead and updated to 2024.26.3.1 the other day and will assume that I will get FSD plenty early and until then will enjoy Castle Doombad whenever I supercharge.Did I misunderstand? If I take 2024.26.3.1 it will delay me from getting FSD when it comes out vs staying on current 2024.20.9?
Really this is what potential owners should see. I look at mine as well. Once the product is shipped it isn't done. May be just the little tweaks one can't see until they get fleet's going.this is a sizeable update with 41 systems getting new code. Also potentially notable but it seems the autopilot image is now over 2GB looks like things are getting staged now.![]()
Thanks for taking the risk for the betterment of mankind! ?I got it as well, well I hit go.
I do not believe Tesla is going to hold back FSD from any specific version for the CT, that would be strange.
We shall see!
