My truck was only 14 months old 4 months ago, but one tire blew out at speed 65 mph. It happened in Las Vegas where the streets are generally clean, smooth and the absence of debris. I did not hit a pothole, I swear.
My qualm is i had to agree to a collision damage because there was nothing else to blame that I knew, for the incident.
Had anyone have the same experience? I googled it and it says some owners had the same incidents but I couldn't find it in this forum.
Thank you to those who will add to this thread because as a result, I've had been charge a lot more for my insurance premium with Tesla since.

So, not a lot of information here.

You think you had a blowout. Okay. What happened then? Did you hit something? Did you damage your truck?

You had to agree it was collision damage. Was that to the police? Your insurance company?

And 65 mph sounds quite fast for Las Vegas, or any city for that matter. Were you on a freeway?

I had a blowout, but it was a very thin piece of metal. Didn't even see it. Figured it out when I saw the slice in the plastic under the bed. It happens.

My truck was also 14 months old 14 months ago. No blow outs here I change the All Terrain tires about every 35k miles. Was you launching with bands exposed? Why would you file a claim for a tire rupture? Just buy a new tire. Perhaps you should have a 2500 deductible (price of a set of tires) that way you don’t make claims on small stuff that will raise your insurance rates.

I have had 5 flats and my truck doesn't even have 4k miles on it yet. If that makes you feel any better.....
