Still on 2.9.1, no ANC either. I wish I knew how people get software sooner....

This morning I was on .9.1 and got the alert to connect to wifi for an update .9.3. I have to move it to get wifi, which I did and it downloaded up to 37% and hung for a couple hours. Now, the update is gone, it's still on .9.1 and says that it's on the latest software as of a few minutes ago.

I got ANC about a week ago, but can’t tell any difference. Maybe it needs to calibrate more before it takes effect. Has anyone heard any difference?

Some people have said they can tell. Also, my truck does not recalibrate after stopping or at all. I tried shutting it off but it doesn't recalibrate.
🤷‍♂️

I don’t know if it recalibrates or what it does. I’m just saying it don’t hear a difference. Maybe I was expecting something more significant.

I don't particularly care about ANC (assuming this means Active Noise Cancelation) or ARNR as Tesla calls it.
HOWEVER, What I did get was the ability to park (and FINALLY in the correct spot), Woohoo!

I have been trying for 17 months to get the truck to park so I can charge it. It has tried only to fail in AT LEAST 8 ways, including parking over 100 feet away in my neighbors driveway and 7 variations none of which were correct, UNTIL TODAY!!!🎉👏🙏🫶
I was SO pleasantly shocked! My situation was some what compromised by the relatively steep drop you have to back down before it levels off some what. If I tried to use PARK, as soon as it got to the drop I'd get the red steering wheel of death, EVERY TIME. When we finally got the version to have FSD Supervised park at the end of the trip, it always parked so close to the house I couldn't get out. So I would drive up the hill, select the parking spot (marked by 3" wide white tape, touch PARK; almost instantly red steering wheel of death.

Since I am a firm Murphys Law devotee, I only hope this reply doesn't trigger a relapse. I do have to say today it parked EXACTLY as normally do manually, although it did not seem to like the hill but successfully parked anyway (there was a brief message that I did not understand/read).

So.... Delighted, Thanx Tesla đź’•

I’m not sure if ANC requires some sort of media to be playing for it to work, but with no content playing thru the speakers there was no noticeable difference with ANC on or off.

It actually pauses when it detects moderate volume music. I think its more for when the cabin is silent or for phone calls.

I got it a few days after getting 9.3. Foundation AWD 4xxx vin, Original AT tires, 27,500 miles.

I haven’t tried it on the freeway but It was a subtle difference I could hear between off and on during a 45 mph drive. I never saw anything about calibration and only a note about it being inactive later due to fan noise even though the fan was on low. I suspect it’ll be like so many other things on this truck - it’ll likely get better with future updates.

I wonder if Tesla watches these threads, the next day I got it....
No.

I'm sure you're joking, but in no universe did Tesla see your post. Find out your vehicle from your username and send you an update.

Damn it! My Murphy's Law hope dashed. It only parked successfully ONCE!
So I am patiently awaiting 14.3 and shall keep my big mouth (read fingers) shut until I have achieved proper parking AT LEAST three times in succession without failures.
(muffled grumbling in the background).
