If you didn't already know, Tesla truck VINs are decoded as follows:You can omit the A since they're all built in Austin.
Also for those wondering, VIN year codes never use I, O, Q, U, or Z to prevent confusion with other characters.
Digits 1 to 3 = 7G2 (for Tesla truck; includes Cybertrucks and Semis)
Digit 4 = C (for Cybertruck); T (for Tesla Semi)
Digit 5 = E (for Cybertruck chassis/cabin); B (for Semi chassis/cabin)
Digit 6 = G (GVWR 8,001 to 9,000 lbs; includes all RWDs and also AWDs/CBs with All-Season tires); H (GVWR 9,001 to 10,000 lbs; includes AWDs/CBs with All-Terrain tires); 8 (for Semi; GVWR 33,001+ lbs).
Digit 7 = E (for electric)
Digit 8 = B (for Semis; dual drive rear axle); C (for RWD Cybertrucks; single motor); D (for AWD Cybertrucks; dual motor); E (for Cyberbeasts; tri-motor)
Digit 9 = check digit
Digit 10 = R (2024 model year); S (2025 model year); T (2026 model year)
Digit 11 = A (for Cybertrucks; made in Austin TX); N (for Semis; made in Reno NV)
Digits 12-17 = unique serial number. Does not correspond to number made, because some serial numbers are skipped and never issued.
Note: edited Digit 6 as per discussion below.
