the 3.99% is gone - 3 weeks after I placed an order.
I will not be taking a 5.09% loan for this. I'll just keep my X.
I'll also be getting my $250 back for bait and switch.

I emailed Tesla asking if they would honor the 3.99% I was expecting.
Ball is in their court for now.

Was a VIN assigned?
Did you apply for the loan? If so was it approved, or still waiting?

Mutually independent.

I would think one might have some leg to stand on if one had some of the above. Tesla has been really fast with the terms subject to change at any second as of late.

Rates did move up since the Hormuz Bluez set in.

The delivery is well over 30 days, so I was told to wait to apply, since the timing was unknown/far out.

I did the pre-approval thing. all good.

Feels shady as hell. I did a lot of work to my X for trade-in. Tint removed, PPF removed, mud flaps, floor mats, etc. I am not a happy customer.
We shall see if they honor the 3.99% and what my trade-in is, but if I don't like the numbers, I keep my X and redo the protection parts.

I’m almost to the point of just finding one used instead. With the constantly pushing delivery estimate and now the rate increase, it just feels like they do not care.

I think Tesla (Elon) has finally recognized that his little ego project will never sell at the numbers he thought it might. He overestimated the commitment level of a $100 fully refundable reservation fee and then effectively doubled the prices advertised at the delivery day event in 2019. It also took twice as long as projected to begin production so to say it was a cluster f**k is an understatement.

This is coming from someone who bought a DM Cybertruck this year and believes it is the best most utilitarian vehicle I have ever driven. But it was FSD that kept me in the Tesla camp despite many concerns about the company in general.

Still showing 3.99% in my order. However, IIRC that’s only good for 30-days. If delivery is past that, it reassesses to rates offered at that time.

Your mileage may, of course, vary, but I ordered during the 2.49% promo around Thanksgiving... they ran the 2.49% thru the end of year if I recall. Thinking my delivery was going to be EoY (as they advised) I applied in Dec. Delivery was delayed to Feb, my original loan expired end of Jan, and when I reapplied my bank changed, but the promo APY was honored.

Used ones - the loan APR will be higher. Unless you're paying cash.
So, factor in cost of car vs. loan vs. warranty miles. etc.

I didn't apply for financing, because the date was so far out (and farther now!).
Since it said it was only good for 30 days. (Website said (and still says) 4-6 weeks). But App now says May 13-June24!).
I did the pre-approval, knowing I'd be approved.. just verifying.

The 'good' news is it looks like you can do $0 down, which reduces me having to move things around to make it happen.
Might actually break 'evenish' not having to do that.

I'll wait to see all the numbers and trade-in value on my now vintage Model X.
And see if they respond to my question about honoring the 3.99%. Although it will take some super math (grok) to see which is better for me. $0 down saves me a lot of headache.

yeah?? How likely do you think this is? I'd honestly spring for a PAWD or CB if the 0% came back...right now I'm expecting a SAWD this fall.

remember that scene in jurassic park with goldblum, dern, and the water drop on her hand? that likely. but i got it! just have to have your down payment ready to go. (luckily for me its appearance coincided with me having all the cash ready for an outright purchase, so now im actually MAKING money)

I'll wait for 0% financing and save approx. $263 in interest a month on another Cyberbeast over 72 months.
I currently have two 2024 FS Cyberbeasts, one paid in full, and
0% was my game changer and free lifetime supercharging!
the savings is amazing. I do not want to pay an additional $19,000 to $22,000 extra in interest over 6 years.
