I have a simple and short answer to your usual kilometric post: Cybertruck is a truck and expected to do truck stuff.
Like guzzle gas and diesel? Is that what you mean by doing "truck stuff"?

Cybertruck does do truck stuff, it's just that one truck cannot excel at everything. A HD 1-ton pickup truck is best for hauling large RV's x-country but not that good for off-roading, making deliveries in the city, or stopping at the grocery store to pick up dinner and it's overkill for going on a canoe trip or for exploring backroads and going old-school tent camping.

That's why I recommend people choose a truck that best fits their own use case. Looking at the current market for 1/2-ton pickups, I think Cybertruck hits the volume sweet spot.

BTW, "kilometric" doesn't mean what you think it does.

I give away million dollar ideas to Tesla like candy. Here is another one, they probably won't embrace :).

As an add option subscription Tesla should have road trip special PHEV or ICE vehicles available for rent when you absolutely need to do the long and fast road trip or towing.

I am envisioning this as a subscription club where you pay a fee for the privilege of being able to swap your Tesla for the PHEV at the Tesla dealer. Your drop your Tesla off at a dealer or park and ride and pick up your PHEV maybe even with the Tesla app. Your rental will include a nominal daily fee and cost per mile depending on vehicle type. Packages could have blackout dates or higher fees for popular dates. Since these vehicle will be all long trip miles they should be fairly new because they will hit their warranties fast.

The point for Tesla is:

1.) It increases sales, because that 1-5 time per year your Tesla won't work is no longer an impediment to a sale.
2.) Increases the BEV vs ICE miles and furthers the mission statement/better for the planet.
3.) Another opportunity for a for profit service. Say 20% mark up.

The point for consumers is it adds flexibility to your Tesla purchase and is very convenient. You don't have to maintain an ICE or worry about crashing values of your ICE and you get to use BEV miles for 90% plus of your annual total.
It's called range anxiety.

There hasn't been a need for the service so far in the life of Tesla.

If you are in a hurry to drive 800 miles in a day at 75 mph. That is a 12 hours in an ice. Probably 15 in any EV less than a 400 mile range S. That is real time. I won't bother with my RWD m3 trips over 350 miles or so. After the first sc stop everything slows from there.

You are definitely missing out not taking it in road trips over 350 miles. If you do it right, it really doesn't take that much extra time. In a Model 3, you can add 150 miles in less than 15 minutes.

I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find that my M3 charged to 80% in the time it took me to walk into Buccee's and back out to the car. (14 minutes).

So vague. LFP or high nickel pack? From what starting %? Did you go out of your way as opposed to a readily available gas station? Don't get me wrong I am a BEV fan, but long distance adds time. When I retire I won't care, but now I do.

Depends. If you're a road warrior who likes to drive 4+ hours without a stop then yes. If you normally stop for a bathroom break and some food and drink then no it doesn't.

And honestly, studies show that taking breaks makes you a better driver.
