Molle, an attachment system developed by the US military for attaching small things onto bigger things in a secure but easily changeable manner

Just about everyone has some on their CT. Some more than others. I've seen trucks that look more molle than stainless. When you mount stuff it's much easier to find. But not necessarily easier to access. Trying to get to a fire extinguisher that has been ziptied to a molle panel, is not ideal in the event of a fire! but neither is digging through a bed full of tools, and parts, looking for a red cylinder. I just added the frunk molle and I'm trying to decide what belongs in there. My EDC pretty much fills the frunk, but with some space for a few small items. So far i have a flashlight. I was thinking maybe first aid kit. but what else. It would have to be small enough for the frunk to close over my daily stuff, light enough to not effect the frunk opening and closing, and accessible enough to make it worthwhile. I've seen extractor boards mounted on the outside of the sails. good example of a location for something needed when stuck in mud or snow. but mounting them in the frunk would be a mistake. So, show me what you've got and why.

Being its not something you can walk into a local auto shop and grab, maybe a spare wiper blade?

Personally, I don't like the frunk molle as it's too easy to obstruct closure when other items are placed in it.

I've got the extinguisher, flashlight, first aid and tire repair kit on the inner sail wall

Wiper blade is a great idea. long term storage, doesn't take up much space
as for the frunk, i always carry my pelican tool case, my computer case, and a carryon luggage. all three fit perfectly with just enough room for a small bag of groceries on either side. the top is my concern. but as i always have exactly the same items i can test in advance. there is more room over the carryon than the other side.

I found these great molle-compatible pouches on Amazon, they come in tons of colors, too. They have 3 straps that snap on the back and line up perfectly with the holes in my frunk molle panels.

The Not-a-Flamethrower is mounted using these molle gun rack clamps.

In the back, I have these vertical pouches that I use to hold my extra L-track accessories and a set of road flares. They attach just like the other pouches with straps that snap in place and fit perfectly.

These pics are kinda old, I have more stuff in there now, like a fire extinguisher on a molle quick-release. I'll take some fresh picks tonight. I also use neodymium magnet bars attached with VHB tape to some parts of the panels for invisible magnetic mounts points for various items.

I’m in a current “re-model” of our Molle/track system but if you’re asking… these will be part of any setup I land on. Still need to exchange the hangers for black though. This is the California compliant chest rig which means I have to run it basically empty, outside of plates. 😂. Now when we head back home to Nevada… that’s when they can be turned into something proper! 🤪

How did you attach the Tough Hooks? Nice setup. Collapsible dog water bowl being the most-important item! What kind of Doggo? We are German Shepherd people.

I think there's a market for a molle panel for the inside of the truck that covers the rear window, above the back seat headrests. Does anyone know if that exists already?

I don’t have a recent picture to show off but will grab some later.
I LOVE these little builtright industries panels for multiple reasons.
I don’t use the bed divider when I have the cybertent (which they fit under) in so they give me some attachment points on the side. They fit in the l-tracks underneath it and they really expand the usability of the track in general. I just slide them to whatever spot is most convenient.
They are also a little elevated off the bed which means I can still slide my T-mat in and out easily.
They also make a version with Milwaukee packout connections if you’re into that sort of thing.
And as you can clearly see they are a non-issue for the bed divider.

Wiper blade is a great idea. long term storage, doesn't take up much space
It's a bad idea to store things like wiper blades in an area that get's hot. I don't even like to store wiper blades long-term in a cool, dry area because they give the best performance and service life when the rubber hasn't been sitting around and getting harder and oxidized.

The best part is you don't even need to go to the auto parts store because Tesla ships them right to your front door with no shipping charges. For decades now, I just replace wiper(s) when they have seen better days. If I'm going on a long trip I don't stop at an auto parts store, I replace the wiper(s) before I leave on the trip. Just part of trip prep. The last thing I want to be doing on a trip is replacing a wiper blade!
