FYI: I see nothing drawing attention to Cybertruck / CT like I've seen on some other shipments. However, Y body line is built.... I'd imagine this is Cybertruck. BUT IT'S A GUESS!

Nice catch. A++

That’s a lot of bots. It’s possible these are for expanding the Model Y line, but I‘m skeptical they need this much extra capacity so soon. They haven’t even hit their 5k/ week target yet with the existing setup.

Seems like it is most likely destined for the Cybertruck.

How reliable is this greg guy from twitter?
The BOL documents are reliable. Read the documents and draw your own conclusions.

Lots of 9,000 KG shipments from Kuka (a robotics company) in Germany arrived and are destined for Giga Texas. It seems pretty clear to me.

These robots are mostly used to move the in progress vehicle from one workspace to the next. Sort of like a bucket brigade. From what I’ve seen they are mostly used on parts of the assembly line where there are few/ no humans because they mode large amounts of weight through the air very quickly. Getting smacked in the head by a Cybertruck getting passed from one robot to the next is a quick way to end up in the morgue.

Though now that I think about it, some of these guys might be doing the welding too. They come in all sizes. I think the 10,000 kg varieties aren’t doing much welding though.

Multiple steps can happen before the next robot picks the truck up and moves it to the next space. So presumably this means there will be 66+ steps in the assembly line which will be fully robotic.

I think it’s safe to say this will be the most automated vehicle assembly line ever created.

Yes, assembly robots can include any effector (e.g., welding) plus pick and place.
