Don't kid yourself. I've already talked to people who are most likely cancelling. Here's the timeline: Tesla convinced many customers to buy the full $8k FSD by 2/14. Then they quickly introduce the $59k Cybertruck with the promise that they'll be able to transfer that $8k FSD to the new truck. People order in good faith as it's finally the vehicle they always wanted. Then Tesla rescinds on their promise, which essentially voids the $8k FSD that they've only had for a month. It's definitely not ethical. Is it even legal? We'll find out, but for sure it will be ugly. Hopefully they'll rethink this bonehead reversal. Most customers will hold their order until they get a delivery date to see if Tesla has come to their senses. Time will tell.
They have to make their margin somewhere, FSD subscription is one way. The $10k price hike will ensure good order conversion rates.

Yes, profit is not a problem but I ordered at the Time FSD was allowed to transfer if you order before March 31 and I did then they change the verbiage and I don’t give a F about they can do that, by me putting money down denotes a contract under the rules at that time not a week later. I call for class action lawsuit

I disagree, though I understand your outrage.

Tesla's FSD users are 12% of fleet as of Q4, though Cybertruck usage is reportedly about 2x that number. The percentage of that group who are FSD owners vs. subscribers is smaller, and those who ordered the new model is smaller yet, and the portion impacted by this issue is smaller still, and the portion who will cancel over it smaller still.

Sure, we will hear anecdotes of people impacted by this change, but it's not going to amount to mass bail outs, at least for this reason.
I’m curious where you got these numbers, I believe them but I wonder if it’s 2x percentage(24% Cybertruck owners) or 2X total. I’m also curious if it’s because of the relatively high foundation series percentage of CTs driving around?

Tesla often reports the fleet percentage during quarterly earnings reports, as they did in Q4 2025 - 12%. They do not break this % down by product line. Analysts have (probably logically) concluded that the premium products S, X and CT have a higher take rate on FSD than the 3 and Y products, though the predictions have varied on how high this % is. My broad 2x statement is in the middle of those predictions, but if you wanted to make the case for higher or lower, I'm open to it.

Hoping Tesla comes out in the next few weeks to tighten up delivery deadlines for the 59k AWD. Seeing posts on X that folks are saying all orders are pushed back till 27. Not sure I believe that.

I won’t be giving up my HW3 M3P to get the 60k AWD Cybertruck unless they honor FSD transfers. I’ll take more pleasure in making them do a HW3 retrofit first. Can’t wait to see how FSD TransferGate plays out.

Just an FYI, it seems all the latest FSD purchases (i.e. Lux packages) and transfers precludes it from going with the car/truck to a new owner. Tesla has said they'll give you more for it during trade in though. That seems to be a real show-stopper for me as well (for the transfer part).

Having said that, I did order a $59,999 one (just for the lifting options I had to). Hopefully my current FS AWD will be out working for me (unsupervised) by the time the standard AWD shows up!

This whole scenario is just pathetic and wild. I can see why someone would hate Elon no the way they treat their customers. If my 2/19 ordered June delivery gets moved Im sure I’ll cancel it and force them a headache. This doesn’t even touch the sht show they’ve created with FSD. That’s truly and low ball POS move

Yeah, don’t trust that June date too much, Tesla timelines love to slip lol. If you bought in that 10 day rush, you’re basically in the “we’ll tell you later” bucket. Best move is to watch your VIN assignment, that’s the real signal things are moving. Until then it’s all vibes and guesses tbh.

Tesla person contacted me today asking if I wanted to add the FSD subscription to the truck I ordered. So I said sure whatever lol

So maybe that’s a positive sign.

A good thing?

Sounds like they are reenforcing that you cannot buy or transfer fsd on that truck.

The thread name I'm posting in is delivery timelines not FSD transfer.

I mean positive for deliveries happening soon. I didn't have an FSD transfer to do anyways so I don't care. They made it clear they weren't doing it so people will have to cancel their orders most likely if that's going to be the hold up. Personally I think it's still worth getting a 59k Cybertruck.
