This $7,500 tax credit loophole for Cybertruck leases is a great opportunity if you’re leasing through a Tesla Trust or Chase. However, keep in mind the additional fees like the $695 acquisition and $350 buyout fee. When I had doubts, I found the Wall and Associates reviews useful for understanding tax nuances and making the most of this deal.

I spoke with someone at Chase a few weeks ago and they said that because Tesla wasn’t a “dealership” you are unable to get financing for a buyout from them. I also haven’t seen 1 post anywhere where someone says they secured financing with chase. A lot of people like you saying you can with no actual confirmation. Buyer beware!

I’m confused, I get loans all the time when not buying from a dealer but instead from an individual. Are you stating something else?

So someone on TMC mentioned, that the option was available for only 10 days, but the buy-out option is now gone? That the lease buyout is only meant for end of the term?

Can anyone with a new Tesla lease confirm that your buy out lease option is still available? Really trying to get a CT before end of the year.

Can you reference the thread I believe this was for a different model AND referred to leases that were signed well before Tesla opened up the new lease buyout option few weeks back. Still would be great to here from someone on CTOC that has actually completed the early lease buyout!

Here's the original thread. A couple of key details, that is as you said, is that the folks who have the issue with the buy out option did make their buyout prior to the Nov. 27th date when they started allowing buy outs.

I spoke with my local delivery center again this past Sunday. They told me that there is no early buyout option, and that it makes no financial sense to lease it, get $7,500 and then buy out at the end of the lease term (36 months). It’s cheaper to buy it for the full price right away.

I am trying to have the lease completed before next year. The lease is done through Chase Lease. I called them and they told me their leases have early buyout option. I am still waiting for my documents to show up so I can see that with my own eyes. Otherwise I’ll tell them from the beginning I have been told that I can buy it out anytime. I think if you use Tesla Lease you don’t have the option, but Chase is a different story. Waiting for the lease agreement.

It’s in the signed lease agreement I have in my documents. I have chase as the lender it takes about a week to show up on the app. It even calls out exactly what you would pay if you do it early.

Yes I have spoke top a couple of the local delivery people and they say the lease department tells them it is not possible but I think it might be because it is so new or they do not want to encourage this loophole

If they don’t want me to use the loophole, how am I going to use the loophole? To me it means there’s no loophole.

Yes, you will pay the interest for 36 months if you want to buy it out early. If I’m wrong, please post your paperwork saying otherwise.

I think it's a legal issue since they are the manufacturer. Dealers use this as a sales tactic to move ev's but since Tesla is the manufacturer it might cause some problems encouraging this

Still waiting for someone, anyone on CTOC to confirm they have actually completed a lease buyout so far knowone here yet...
