So how do we think this will work once operational.?System exhausts powerwall 3 down to a set minimum like 20% in off grid mode and then the truck PowerShare kicks in? Then what? Powerwall stays at 20% and truck runs the house or will it charge the powerwalls and then be able to drive away?
I have a lot of functional questions. Very excited to see it happen.
There are settings for each element in the app - you decide how full to keep the powerwall, and there are choices about storm prep - the app links to weather and knows when to use the grid power to charge the powerwall and the truck, and then allows you to decide what portion of each battery to use.

My system is operating but I don’t yet have permission to export power. That should come this week. Meanwhile here are a few screens that just came up.

I have all those options with the powerwall 3 too as well as permission to export but I’m very curious how the Cybertruck will fit into all that.

My guess would be Cybertruck outputs up to 5kW for single PW systems, 10kW for dual, and 11.5kW for higher count, once PW is under a user selectable threshold.
This gives PW full control over the local grid given its ~5kW charge rate. (Varies by version and if 3s have expansion battery(s) )
Cybertruck = Baseload
PW = Peaker

Edit: it could be more capable than this, with these values as minimum expectations.

So you're telling me you can't disconnect and unpower the gateway 3v TACO, and replace the CN+/CN-/+12v/Gnd connections to the isolation switch with the powerwall 3?
I think the issue might be that the neutral forming transformer is only in circuit while in backup mode. That may involve a different model isolation switch which isn't cross compatible. As seen in the Powershare plus Backup Switch installation, the Gateway switch is still used:

Just called my installer - he's going to contact Tesla, but as far as he knows, it's still possible...

I just had solar and power walls installed. My installer told me that once the over the air update is live, I will be able to charge my home through the universal wall connector. They removed the old gateway, which is no longer needed. This works directly with the gateway which comes with the power wall.

The Powerwall 3 comes with Gateway 3? Is that not a separate line item?

In order to be able to send excess electricity to the grid and have a bidirectional flow of electricity, one would need a gateway, I believe. I could be wrong. I was not really given an option to put the powerwall without the gateway. TESLA did the entire job.

Yeah so this is what I am trying to figure out. There doesn't seem to be any official statement on adding a powerwall onto a Gateway 3V... I think the installer said they just let the Powerwall 3 operate in standalone mode but that doesn't make sense to me.

Yes there is, I posted it with the link.
Powerwall cannot use 3V (Powershare Gateway), only Gateway 3.

Regardless, I love it so far. The technology is light years ahead. Once I can use my beast for back up, I am ready for zombie mode 💪🏾

Right, so what is this with the installer just letting the Powerwall operate in standalone mode, without any communication wires?

That's not a thing AFAIK. Powerwall needs to connect to a Gateway or Backup Switch. Powerwall without solar is sometimes called standalone?

You might be able to stack grid -> Powershare GW-> Powerwall GW -> house, but why...
