Although I've only had my 2025 Cybertruck AWD since mid-June, I'm convinced that it is a marvelous machine. SInce new to it perhaps I've missed a previous posting regarding this subject.

The 2025 Tesla Cybertruck manual states specifically the instructions regarding "Adjusting the Following Distance". When one follows those instructions, instead of adjusting the following distance the on the road modes change between Chill, Standard, and Hurryup Modes. There are no references on the display screen under Autopilot or other pages that provide a method to adjust the following distance. Is this change no longer available? Or have I just not addressed it properly?

Thanks for your input!

The following distance adjustment is no longer available. I believe it disappeared when they switched to a deep neural network to control the driving. Before that, FSD was hard coded in a version of C, I think C++.

You can still adjust follow distance in TACC. Not FSD though
Having said that, if you want to help train the system you can terminate FSD control and leave a voice note: "following too closely".

The system will get better at a faster rate the more we provide quality feedback.

I always disengage/ report when FSD messes up. At least for the most part, it messes up in predictable ways for me (mostly because i drive the same routes regularly) so i expect its mistakes and can intervene. I think it also learns from driver input. Ive gotten it to follow my lead in parking lots (it wants to go left, i cancel the left blinker and put on the right, and gently but persistently turn the steering wheel right, it will recognize i want to go right and do so without disengaging)

Ive also started using the “report” voice command for things like dry wiping the windshield.

True. It has been said by Tesla many times that it was C++. I miss the feature too.

I'm pretty sick of the fsd on my cyber truck do the following:

1) suddenly reduce speed for no reason, driving 80 suddenly lowers speed to 55, NO REASON.

2) It doesn't go the speed I set it to, if I say go 85, then go 85 damn it, of course as long there is no obstruction, and stop lingering at 75 77 79, if i wantednto go 75 i would tell you to go 75 dumb a$$. Specially when the entire freeway is clear.

These are the two things majorly pissing me off. At the moment

Or cancel and say “not following closely enough, getting cut off every 5 seconds”

I wish the FSD would gradually start slowing me down when the red light appears farther away,
like a normal driver would, but for now the FSD maintains the same speed
and uses the brakes to stop the car about 10 feet from the red light.
So I basically always disconnect FSD in this situation, especially if I'm with passengers.

I was frustrated with the fluctuating speed at first, then I learned it will naturally go higher than the speed limit (settings dependent) in order to flow with traffic, but if you are basically by yourself, it will hover right at the speed limit as you become a target for getting pulled over by a cop. So technically part of the system is working as intended.

I do get the random 55 slowdowns on the interstate sometimes, but it seems to be bad map data rather than just "because it wanted to"
