In the summer I want the truck to look the best (ATs), in the winter I want the thing that looks the okay-ist that is a little cheaper and can withstand the many unavoidable potholes (20s).

Yeah, im going to use the AT's this winter and then get some summer rims/tires and then following winter replace AT's with more snow orientated tires (assuming the AT's leave a bit to be desired)...all depends on tire availability / selection in the future.

Just took delivery, tactical grey , AS tires. Pirelli Scorpions. Looks good to me!

Now. First take on range. Driving home, consumption was 304 wh/mile! This is around 370 miles on a full charge, mixed city driving, about half freeways. Next trip, streets only, light traffic, 97 degrees, BTW, and 285 wh/mile which works out to about 400 miles range.

I am stunned. Can this possibly hold up? We'll see, but great so far.

What if you want the Goodyear AT tires instead? Mine has the AT tires and foe me where i live its perfect. Are they giving you a choice? I have a friend who is picking his up next month and he wont accept with the AS tires. Does anyone know?

I would probably be at 345-355 Wh/mile if ~25% of the 3,000 miles wasn't off-road. Instead I'm at 393 Wh/mile lifetime average and that includes plenty of full-throttle launches. I'm sure it will change for the worse when colder weather arrives, because my Cybertruck lives out in the weather 24/7.

I'm closer to 470 average over 8700 miles.

But I off-road a LOT and when I road trip I often have a bike on the back... at 85 MPH. I'm not nice to this truck.

yes, both interior color (white or gray) and tire type (AT or AS) are now available again on the cybertruck order page. Suspect this means they have depleted their oversupply of CTs with AT tires or have an ample supply of AS tires ... or both.

That’s funny (not really) because Tesla called me yesterday and said my truck is ready only if I swapped to AT tires. I denied and asked when the AS tires would be available and he said it is unknown at this time. I wish Tesla would release some information on status .

It would be great to hear that they upgrade the battery to dry cathode as well (as on the test unit) Tesla mentioned that it may happen before end of the year - this would increase range 10-20 % - which means that with lower speeds close to 500 miles would be possible

I believe the dry cathode is just a cost savings to Tesla. I don't think they have a 10% greater range. Can you confirm your range numbers?

This is correct. There is no range bump.

Tires are far too important to turn them into a style statement. Use tires that serve your application the best, regarless of aesthetics. Everyone wants their truck to look great, but please, not at the expense of driving around on tires that compromise function for looks.

I would go with All Seasons but for three important factors:

1) I want a more durable tire with a lower risk of puncture/damage. I don't want or need to carry a spare, so the extra resistance to flats is worth it to me.

2) I don't need the extra range, the Supercharger Network has become very dense in the Puget Sound Region and, even with AT tires, the Cybertruck is very efficient, if you understand how to drive it. It's all about not wasting energy by speeding up too much before you slow down or driving too fast on the freeway. How you drive has a much bigger impact on range than the OEM tire options. The Cybertruck has a great stereo, chill out and enjoy the trip!

3) I occasionally overload my truck. I feel far more confident that the AT tires will handle it. The All Seasons reduce your cargo and towing capacities.

I would be willing to bet that efficiency will increase again when Tesla starts production of the dry cathode battery packs towards the end of the year.

No idea, lots of fine print. They are 285/65 R20 ATR M+S if that helps. They also say "EXTRA LOAD".

I got same message, wait for A/S till November or get your CT with A/T in 2 days. This was June 28, got CT 6/30 but with AT
