Outstanding work.

However, although I realize it is done for dramatic effect, it looks like the vehicle takes around 14 seconds to accelerate from 0 with spinning wheels (much worse acceleration, hah!) until it reaches 88 mph and time travels.

I looked up various vehicles that do 0-60 in 6.5, 4.5 and 2.9 seconds See https://www.0-60specs.com/0-60-times/
6,5 vehicles run the quarter in around 15 seconds at a top speed of around mid 90s
4.5 around 13 seconds with top speed around 110
2.9 seconds 11 seconds with a top speed around 125 (mostly very high end exoticars)
Just worth a mention - a 2019 Mclaren 600LT does 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, but does the quarter in 10.5 @ 137.3 mph.
So you could match one to 60 in a tri-motor but would always loose out in the 1/4 mile as the truck maxes out @ 130 mph.
So no pink slip racing the 1/4 .....

Even accounting for the weight of the flux capacitor and other components, the rear wheel drive only would be in this ballpark.
Two and three motor Cybertrucks would require some editing to match corresponding times :D :ROFLMAO:
A 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 did 0-60 in 9.5 seconds and the 1/4 in 17.0 seconds @ 79 mph, so the DeLorean would take much longer than the 14 seconds as depicted

From the above website, best performing pickups
Year Make Model Drive Transmission 0-60 time 1/4 mile performance
2005 Dodge Ram 1500 RWD 4A 4.4 sec 0-60 and 12.4 sec @ 118 mph
2008 Toyota Tundra RWD 6A 4.4 sec 0-60 and 13.0 sec @ 106.3 mph
2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 RWD 6A 5.0 sec 0-60 and 13.4 sec @ 103 mph
2017 Ford 150 4x4 10A 5.0 sec 0-60 and 13.7 @ 100 mph
2017 Nissan Titan 4x4 7A 5.9 sec 0-60 and 14.6 sec @ 96 mph
2019 Ford Ranger RWD 10A 6.0 sec 0-60 and 14.6 sec @ 96 mph
2002 Toyota Tacoma RWD 5M 6.07 sec 0-60 and 14.96 sec @ 93.96 mph
2003 Hummer H2 4x4 4A 6.1 sec 0-60 and 14.5 sec @93 mph
2017 Chevy Colorado 4x4 8A 6.1 sec 0-60 and 14.7 sec @ 95 mph
2017 Honda Ridgeline AWD 6A 6.4 sec 0-60 and 15.0 sec @ 93 mph
2012 Nissan Frontier 4x4 6M 7,2 sec 0-60 and 15.7 sec @ 89.9 mph

Nice job Tesla!

Hmmm I'm looking at those truck times thinking something fishy. My father-n-law's Hummer H2 was slow. Then after looking at 0-60 times I found Car and Driver had tested a Lingerfeld rebuild to 500 hp. Then I looked up the 2005 Dodge Ram, it's a Hennesy SRT 10 800HP Beast. Afterwards I realized you did mention "best performing pickups". So what did I learn? The Tesla CT is going into realms never before possible!!!!! LOOK WHAT THEY HAD TO MAKE ICE TRUCKS QUICK. This really confirmed my belief that CT trucks will have better performance, with way cheaper operating costs! BTW it also confirmed I 'll be just fine with the single motor, I don't need a truck that is as fast as an 800 HP Hennesey SRT 10.

I'm curious where you got the top speed of the tri-motor Cybertruck as 130 mph, assuming that's what maxes out means. Top speed is not listed yet for the Cybertruck on the Tesla site. 130 mph would be the lowest-rated top speed of any Tesla. My Model 3 Performance supposedly has a top speed of 162 mph. I personally have never pushed it beyond 150 or so, you know, around town in traffic and all.........

By the way, I'm not saying the 130 mph number is wrong, just curious where you found it.........

Is it crazy that I had to watch it twice to see the Cybertruck? The mind sees what it wants to see. Really well done.

Thanx OB-1, I was just about to respond on the source. The picture is worth more than the 50 words I would have used

Just before CT revealed I was talking with someone about how the DeLorean was a great design for an electric car. Tesla should buy the design and make it electric...it would sell well and could be inexpensive.

Geek. :geek:

Remember, they had to match the overlay to speed of the DeLorean! :)
