I just received my Heatshield front window sunshade from EVANNEX. It seems quality enough, but man, it is so cumbersome I am wondering how often I will actually use it: Two separate pieces. Rolled up, so it wants to curl on you. Suction cups. Requires installation from both the driver and passenger side.

I get that it's a unique challenge to create something, so not bashing the product at all, but...

Has anyone found a solution that one can install from the driver's seat and doesn't take three minutes?

I have the same one and it's a real pain to setup. Like you I have to install and take down the heat shield from the driver and passenger side.

I called HeatShield today and suggested they make the lower piece on material attach to the backside of the suction cup secured piece with velcro. That way you install the large piece under the visors, secure the suction cups, then move the dash piece in and velcro it to the back of the first piece. Aligning the suction cups blindly is one of the biggest hassles. Still cumbersome to roll up. Once installed it works really well.

I think one large sunshade is too unwieldy. I stopped by a truck stop and picked up two large sun shades. I placed the first at the front of the windshield and the second runs from the sun visors to the top of the lower sun shade. Since they are smaller than one extra large sunshade they can be folded up and easily stowed. It’s not elegant but it does work.

What did Evannex mark it up from Heat Shield? I won't do suction on windows. Heatshield makes nice products, but that is a no go for me.

Could you put a link to the product?

Seriously going to try to get approval to tint my windows from my doctor (Yeah, it's a thing here). I'll use ceramic window film on the front windows and windshield. But, I'll put it as light as I can on the windshield because I'm not a crazy person. I also won't go too dark on the sides. I made the mistake in my last truck going too dark and it was irritating trying to turn into the drive every night.... couldn't see crap.

I’m waiting for ceramic tint to come down to reality. I’ve been quoted $1700 to do all the windows on my CT in a top tier film. What happened to tinting being a few hundred dollars? Seems crazy at these prices. My guess is by next year it will be considerably less.
